Fur & Thundur is Vegas’ premiere musical puppet improv show—a cheeky, family-friendly hour of puppets, improvised songs, and live music made up on the spot. Nothing is scripted and no show is like the last. In fact, YOU make the show what it is, with YOUR suggestions.

One of our furry puppet friends has been very sick lately. So we’ve taken a bit of a hiatus. But even in the darkest of time, we must shine our light. Fur and Thundur + Fomato Improv are BACK for HALLOWEEN BABY!

Date: October 18th Sunday
Address: Sin Sity Sisters | The Nunnery
900 Liberace Ave # A102
Ticket Price: $10/show or $15 for both shows.
*Please scan QR code for Tickets
*Ticket link also in bio on Linktree

This month we’re celebrating one of our favourite seasons, SPOOKY HALLOWEEEEEEN!!! Join your felty pals at Fur and Thundur for a SPOOK-TACULAR fully improvised puppet musical. And then, why not stay for another kind of crazy time - THE FOMATO IMPROV THROW-TACULAR. All you need to know is, it gets kinda crazy, and yes, Fomatoes will be thrown at everyone. Don’t get it? You really got to just be there.

As always, our new home, we’re performing at the Sin Sity Sisters Nunnery—and we’ll be donating a portion of the profits to support their work bringing joy to the community while raising funds and doing outreach around safer sex and HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.

Light snacks and drinks available for purchase.
Bring the whole family—bring your most heartfelt stories—and come have some belly laughs.

DNIC Virtual: Psychological Safety of PLAY
Host: @lilishen92
Guest Speakers: @lisapeers and @nativi_rad
Date: October 14th Wednesday
Time:
10am-11am (Vegas, SF, LA)
7pm-8pm (Amsterdam)

Play builds the foundation to physical, social, cognitive and emotional growth. It is how we learn soft skills like problem solving, creativity, empathy, confidence, and how to cope with stress when things get tough. Play is also essential in making social connections and building relationships, both as children, as well as adults. Psychological safety is particularly important when it comes to play because we have to feel safe enough to be ourselves. Play can be an incredibly vulnerable thing, especially as we get older. Listen to professionals talks about how PLAY is essential to their work and what can we learn about psychological safety in play that we can bring to the workplace?

Join Lisa Peers, CEO of @peersandplayers and Wendy Natividad, Co-organizer of @communityimprovla as they share personal stories and conversation about why psychological safety is important in their work.

Please RSVP through the link in bio & share with your friend who cares about safety! More on the speakers in the link too!

This summer went by way too fast and I am just now catching up on sleep! Got to work two incredible improv festivals basically back to back both of which I didn’t expect to be at but funny how life always finds a way. @countdownimprovfestival celebrated 10 years which also correlates to my improv anniversary. @fjtkimprov created a space that feels like coming home for the holidays. I am forever indebted to the two of them for letting my goofy ass stick around for as long as I have. I got to take Bianca’s workshop. Hug @katkennyimprov and hangout with @bryanvsmusic. This year hit different because of Justin’s brain cancer diagnosis and the fact that without him there was a lot less slow clapping (he’s still alive he just took a step back and wasn’t in charge). Next up was @improvcon in beautiful San Diego. I got to see Weirdass perform which was a full circle moment as @kylepbrandon introduced me to them when I was a baby improviser. @missrachaelmason ran over to me to give me a hug in the middle of doing a scene which made me happy because I never feel like people are excited to see me. I also got to tell @laurenelizabethash how much her character and performance in superstore meant to me. I also got to meet @lilishen92 and @claspy irl for the first time. I also got to see @improtheatre perform their Jane Austen format for the first time and marvel at the work of @edipattersonhi. Work with an incredible crew @trahila, @fulltiltimprov, @wendimclendoncovey, Becca and the Airstream Media San Diego team. On the last day I had a meltdown but @monia_impro just gave me a hug and let me cry it out. Still learning to be in my body and not dissociate constantly and what my boundaries are with sensory processing disorder related things. @ccolthurst created a magical event and I am thankful he said yes and to me cold fb messaging him asking if I could come help do tech. It was also cool to see a countdown improv festival contingent representing at ImprovCon. As one of my improv teachers who’s influenced me a lot @richardpaulactor pointed out how cool it is that I get to travel and help facilitate shows for lots of improvisers and subsequently lots of audience members.
