Always a surprise and a comfort to spot The Candle Project in a home somewhere in the world. A project I followed closely for House of Today, bringing together ten Lebanese designers in a beautiful act of creativity, empathy, and solidarity.

The Candle Project is part of a broader program of initiatives that the non-profit has been pursuing for over ten years, aiming to support the Lebanese creative scene, from emerging and established designers, to producers and students.

‘𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’ 𝐛𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭

For ‘I am here’, the source of inspiration is the ways in which wax melts, and in this experience, how a poetic discourse emerges, about the transformation of its forms. From observing wax melting, forming soft droplets, then hardening, the candle seeks to evoke a sense of intimacy and comfort. Mimicking a friend’s touch in times of distress, and silently conveying “I am here for you”, this feeling is captured in how candles offer light, on dark nights.

Discover and own an illuminative wonder from The Candle Project collection 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞.

The proceeds from The Candle Project will go towards supporting Beit Chabab Hospital and its initiatives, as well as the ten Lebanese designers, and to grow House of Today’s mentorship program, to cultivate Lebanon’s design ecosystem.

Proudly made in Lebanon by artisans.
