Have organized 25+ shows in the past 3 years, but this was my first time experiencing the audience from the performer’s perspective.

Huge thanks to Mike @mikeclemow for creating a space that’s so open to improvisation + cross-artist collaboration. This is exactly the kind of infrastructure I’ve been wanting to create and explore as an organizer.

Thank you Rob @robinterface for being such an amazing music collaborator. Drums + synths + flute turned out to be such a cool combo. Shout out to Lin @fenglin.art for the visual storytelling that captivated everyone. The story of a goat lost in Yellowstone geysers carried what I wanted to convey through the music: confronting the force, violence, and fatality of nature that we tend to neglect and suppress.

The 3 of us played like we’d done this several times before, but we actually just got together that day for the first time🫢

QIAA Recap 🌟 Red Carpet Gala 2025

Last December 12, we hosted our first annual Red Carpet Gala - bringing together artists, collaborators, and supporters for a night of connection and celebration! ❤️

The evening featured three pop-up performances across dance, interdisciplinary art, and music:

I just can't stop smiling looking back at my year! I am grateful that I am becoming the woman with compassion, determination, ambition, and sensuality.

2025 is the wildest year so far but also the loneliest. Much solo building also leads to solo sufferings. But I am glad that I started phoning my friends about small wins and losses. Realized that most important things in life is emotional connections in community and health.

If you see your face in this video, that means I appreciate you for your existence in my life. If you didn't see your face and we have been communicating regularly, you know I love you and we need to meet irl.

This is a year filled with unknowns.
Unexpectedly,I turned into a founder for a music tech company full time since June, worked with a bunch of wonderful people, and launched a SaSS app in December.
Unexpectedly, I hosted more offline events, including a month long music festival in New York (7 to be exact).
Unexpectedly, I did 3 public speaking events and one of them on AI.
Unexpectedly, I spent 4 months in China and 3 out of those I lived in Shanghai while working as an Researcher in music and AI for NYU Shanghai thanks to Alex
Unexpectedly, I decided to workout consistently and I have been going to the gym 5 times per week since July!
Unexpectedly, I travelled to 8 cities. I took my brother to Paris, Munich, Berlin, Guangzhou. Then traveled solo in Hangzhou, with friends in Suzhou, Shanghai, and with family in Nanjing.
Unexpectedly, I even pushed the album of 5 years on Dec 29!

I surprised myself to pulling off all of the above.

Expectantly I burnt out twice and realized that I am my own stressor. So I am learning to be kinder and more gentle with myself while building the dream life I want.

2025 has truly been a testament of "if I want, I would".

I am so PROUD of myself!

So in 2026, I plan to quantum leap, dream bigger while building longer table to include likeminded people in the form of book clubs about physics, philosophy, listening party, and active explorations of the city.
