Harvest in Jura 25‘ What a wonderful experience to have joined the harvest with Anne and Manu at Overnoy Houillon in Pupillin and Thomas Popy in Mesnay. To join the harvest team was a reminder of how much care, dedication and teamwork is put in to crafting these wines. Lovely to have met so many cool peeps from all over the world! Feels like a family gathering!

Photo 01 - Jeju, Spring 2024 Photo 02 - Jeju, Winter 2022, Spring 2023 Photo 03 - Berlin, Summer 2022 Photo 04 - Jeju, Summer 2020 Photo 05 - Seoul, Fall 2018 My friendship with Florian Bong Kil Grosse began when I encountered his photo book “Hanguk” at a bookstore in Berlin in the summer of 2016. Two years later, fall 2018, I invited him to a three-person exhibition that I curated at the artist Simon Ko‘s Seoul studio. That was the first time we worked together. Two years later, summer 2020, I invited him to be the resident artist at the Next Door to the Museum. Over the eight weeks of living together, I was able to take a closer look into his creative process. Then in summer 2022, I traveled to the US and Europe for work. It was my first pot-pandemic international trip, and Florian generously offered Guhn and I to stay at his Berlin home. Berlin is a city that I once called home, but it was refreshing to experience the city through Florian’s life and our continued friendship. In fall 2022, I worked as a collaborating curator for the 3rd Jeju Biennale, where Florian showed “Blank Verse” photo series, which he started during his residency with us in Jeju. After the Biennale, we received Florian’s works, beautifully framed, to exhibit and sell at the Next Door to the Museum. It was a sold-out exhibition with 100% of the profits going to Florian for his return to Jeju. Finally, spring 2024, Florian returned to Jeju and Next Door to the Museum to continue his work with a new spinoff project titled, “Blank Verse - Birdnests 2024.”
