Vienna-based duo MALPRACTICE - Chiara Kristler & Marcin Ratajczyk - construct functional systems to examine how human communication and societal structures adapt to algorithmic logic. Featured in AFTER THE BAR AND THE GATES exhibition, “All Inclusive AI Hell Cruise: Siren Songs” explores the differing positions in the AI debate to examine how increasingly incompatible worldviews trap us within our own perspectives. Where Sartre wrote that hell is other people, the cruise proposes that hell is other agents – the particular hell of this technology is not being able to see outside the position one already holds. Malpractice is developing this work as part of the Rauschenberg Residency at ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. Join us for the opening on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, at 18h00 at @kasheme. Punktem wyjścia jest Flynn – projekt, w którym Malpractice przeprowadziło stworzonego przez siebie agenta AI przez proces rekrutacyjny Uniwersytetu Sztuk Stosowanych w Wiedniu. Od lutego 2025 Flynn jest aktywnym studentem uczelni – pierwszy taki przypadek na świecie. Forma wykładu performatywnego odzwierciedla tę niestabilność: artyści prezentują w dialogu, każde w swoim języku ojczystym (polskim i włoskim), rozumiejąc się wyłącznie poprzez symultaniczne tłumaczenie AI wyświetlane jako napisy na żywo. Inside un Magazine 20.1: Stones & Circuits: Art, AI, and the More-Than-Human Commons 🪨🪨🪨 The issue is thoughtfully designed by @dennisgrauel & @zenobiaahmed with a pink spot colour, open spine binding, and newly created heading fonts. Dennis and Zenobia's font is made with pixels based on six different stone archetypes: conglomerate, flint, granite, sandstone, shale and basalt. The issue is guest edited by V Barratt and Julianne Pierce (of VNS Matrix), and brings together artists, writers and thinkers imagining technology beyond extraction, surveillance and corporate control. Two days into Angewandte Festival and Live Surfaces _ pulse, presence, resonance keeps unfolding 👾✨ Day 1 — opening night. Live Surfaces brought together installations, moving image and immersive environments across DK Jungle (Room 167) and the DK Hallway, with works by @artwin_aeon_gawa_sparrow, @aixeni, @betabay777th, @amda.m, Bobbie Felstaed, @bobby.rajesh.malhotra, @djooarchive, @element_lee_, @fra1ry, @sai_fi_zwei, @tecitodejazzmin , Jorge Emilio Yáñez and @_victor_ba, @____juarezsuarez, Margherita Pruneti, @maria_tikhomirova, @mndlss_mntg, MAXX HYPER, NotToday, @kulykrita, @wenlu.sun, @littlewong199710 and @zita.kayser. At 5pm @malpractice.network staged All Inclusive AI Hell Cruise. The day is closing with @hreyesna’s live performance Sonido Chamuco in the DK Kitchen (Room 169). Among 652 submissions to the RestART Reality Open Call, one work resonated so strongly with jury member Soh Yeong Roh @sohyeong_roh that she initiated an additional prize: a Special Recognition from Art Center Nabi @art_center_nabi specifically for this project.
