Final Medal Monday of 2026 (thank goodness). I am tired 😅.

Sundays @wfpsrun was amazing. It’s the second year I have now been a part of this race and I can honestly say this is one of my favourite weekends of the entire year.

From Saturdays 5km shakeout run collab with @winnipegrunclub and the Teeny Trot 1km run for the kids that they looked forward to for months leading up to it, and all the way to Sundays half marathon - the vibes were absolutely electric. The crew from @cityparkrunnersywg and volunteers do an absolutely incredible job.

I then spent a few hours volunteering Saturday afternoon for bib pickups. Being able to be a small part of someone’s first race experience to someone’s hundredth was so much fun and I will absolutely volunteer for it again next year!

Last year I finished with a time of 1:57:10 (current PR). As much as I would’ve LOVED to go sub 2 again, I knew my fitness wasn’t where it was at this time last year. My “stretch goal” was to be as close to sub 2 as possible, with my more achievable goal of running a 2:05.

Sunday morning, the weather was perfect and the adrenaline was FLOWING! I started out hot and was on pace for ~1:58 until about 10km. A pain in my foot and lack of training then stepped in and gave me a slice of humble pie. I fought with my mind for a couple of KMs until I reminded myself what the actual goal was. I did everything I could to keep the 2:05 pacers behind me..

In the end, I cross the finish line at the same time as the 2:05 pacers and ended with a chip time of 2:05:03. Sometimes the “B” goal feels just as satisfying as the “A” goal.

I have a few more running plans for the end of the year (nothing racing related) but look forward to hitting 1000 miles and raising some MOvember money next month. However for now, the race shoes are being put on the shelf.

See yall next year 🫶🏻✌🏼

Surround yourself with people who inspire you and you’ll be forever reaching new heights ✨

First ever 10K in the books. Got a longest run PR today and a time I didn’t know I could reach! Couldn’t have done it without this crew and @justinjustruns setting the pace the whole way and getting sparkly with me too 😂✨✨✨

Each and every one of these people constantly push me to be better and cheer each other on along every step of the way! I’m so proud of each of you ❤️💛💙

Thank you to all of you and congrats on your amazing race today

Stepping outside your comfort zone is one of the best things you can do for your personal growth, mental well-being, and long-term health.

This year, I added RUNNING to my strength training program —something anyone close to me knows I always said I’d never have any interest in doing. But I wasn’t chasing a race time. I started running to challenge myself, improve my conditioning and endurance, clear my mind, and make new connections.

Along the way, I’ve met some incredible people and reconnected with great friends. It’s been an amazing journey sharing my passion for health and fitness with friends and family, all of whom are navigating their own challenges and striving to become the best version of themselves.

Cheers to my circle—the people who choose to get a little better in their own way, every day. Your dedication inspires me more than you know. 🍻💪

(Special thanks to a few people who pushed, motivate, supported, and encouraged/peer pressured me LOL to start this fun journey. @speed_and_savoury @jhenlhet @alvin_timpug @mabelynlien @rinar @mikedunsire @justinjustruns @supplementworldgrantpark @supplementworldwpg )

Warms my heart to see such a great turnout for @justinjustruns charity 5km run in support of @againstbreastcancer1

We dressed up in pink and took over St. Vital park. The girls certainly pushed me yesterday. Sophie flying on her bike and Olivia telling me to go super fast speed. Then making her race car sound effects. 😅

Shutout to @andrealeighpal for helping out her buddy!

Great refreshments and goodies from @supplementworldgrantpark and bagels from @hudsonbagelswpg. Got a nice bag from @delucaswpg as well.

Justin has a great future as a race director!

My marathon plan called for 29km today, but I figured why not do 5 more and run 34 on my 34th birthday. I planned my route to go between 2 run clubs and then finish it off with all the little kids so that at no point in the day I’d be running alone. I am truly blown away by the support I received, and how many people showed up to run with me (esp given it’s Easter Sunday). People ran a variety of different distances and some all the way up to the full 34km (shoutout Sean & Frank for that one, to my sister who did a half marathon & the trekker group for nearly 20k). Every single person who ran alongside me today has inspired me in one way or another. I’m incredibly blessed to have made so many new friends in the past (almost) 1.5 years of this running journey. Even the friends that couldn’t be here today sent thoughtful and encouraging msgs to me and I’m just so grateful for all of you. This is certainly the most productive birthday I’ve had to date and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way!
