Another successful team KORA summer outing—a bigger group, a bigger bus, and plenty more smiles to go around.

We always talk about the importance of taking care of our team first, so that they can better take care of each guest that walks into our space. Outings like this allow us to get to know one another as people, outside of the shop, and bring that camaraderie back to our often hectic work days.

It’s a chance for us to give back to them. To say thank you.

Here’s to continuing to find ways to show our gratitude to our team—the ones who make KORA the special place that it is.

Tomato season is here and our seasonal Cherry Tomato Sourdough Focaccia might be our favorite focaccia yet.

Heirloom cherry tomatoes marinated in a Filipino classic toyomansi (soy sauce & calamansi) glaze that’s seasoned with onion, garlic, a touch of sugar for balance, and whisper of chili.

The glaze gets lightly charred during the bake, while the tomatoes stay juicy and sweet, making for the most perfect bite against soft spongy focaccia with a crusty crunch on the bottom.

Finished with cilantro oil, fresh chive and cilantro macho.

Had to run to @fromkora immediately for their new late summer menu, and as usual it’s all ridiculously good. Peach Mango Fritter, Blackberry & Jasmin Cream, Cacio e Pepe Danish, Tomato Focaccia, all amazing. And I must’ve missed that Kouign amann, and wow, make sure you get that too. Plus that pride cruller.

@fromkora a top 5 all time NYC bakery that somehow seems to get better every time I go. You better get there this weekend for these insanely good new breakfast sandwiches, and do not miss some of these seasonal items, especially that Orange Blossom Honey Bun, one of the best sweet buns out right now, and of course that Passionfruit Matcha Danish. But wow, everything here from the croissants to the donuts to the crullers to the focaccia and savory items. All a must.

EMP Family goes far and wide! @mark_garcia13 and I didn’t overlap during our time at EMP but we were still able to connect and I’m so grateful!
