This photograph is of three of my former Gothenburg classmates @leda.sz, @marty_isle and @songforkaren when we visited Aldo Zetterman’s solo exhibition at @upperhandgallery, a new gallery space in Gårda started by our classmate @rickardelica together with @kisselkassen and @hanlmcd. Around the corner another of our classmates has started her own gallery: @galleri_cora_hillebrand and opened a solo exhibition with Eva Linder this week. Really fortunate to spend proper time with friends in Gothenburg last week. It’s now been 5 years since I finished my studies and moved to London, and had been a year a half since my last visit. I met some really important people there and it’s really exciting to see where they’re going and to catch up.

First look from yesterday’s shoot. Only one problem... I screwed up the white balance on the B-roll by trusting my eye instead of the scopes :/ It was such a strange light in his studio. But hey! More work in Resolve for me ;)

One of the reasons I set up the @artquestlondon Peer Forum @thephotographersgallery was that moving back to London after studying in Sweden meant much of my peer group were suddenly in another country. Recently I’ve been thinking about their continued importance, so here are a few of them that you ought to know.
1. Adel Szakacs @adel_szakacs, installation view of Spinal Cord from the solo exhibition En för varje vibration @galleribox. 2. Cora Hillebrand @killerbrand, video still from “the ‘means’ [le moyen] is also a means to achieve something other than its own end.” Ranciere. 3. Erik Betshammar @kebbet, spread from For Milly a hand bound book infused with ladies fragrance and tobacco smoke, first shown as part of the collaborative exhibition Acting together (though neither of them separately) in [rummet] @galleriformat with Kirsti Taylor Bye @krstii . 4. Flemming Ove Bech @flemmingovebech, Omar. With more precision. from the solo exhibition Manoeuvres @melkoslo. 5. Karin Sandberg @songforkaren, video still from Conversation with Karin. 6. Kirsti Taylor Bye @krstii, installation view of the solo exhibition Wood Works @galleri54. 7. Kjell Caminha @kjellcaminha, documentation from Hemma hos Kjell a situation as part of Institute for Contemporary Ideas and Art’s Motbilder/Counterparts programme curated by @annalovisavdv. 8. Hannah Rosvoll @hannahrosvoll, Untitled (collaborations) from the solo exhibition Mineralization/immobilization @blokkbergen. Hannah runs #selsewhere with @erlenddoc, a micro residency in Norway that I visited in 2016 with Karin Sandberg @songforkaren. 9. Martin Holm @marty_isle, from the digital sketchbook Terra Googlis. 10. Pål Henrik Ekern @plenrik, selection from Monochromes, performance/photography, exhibited in its entirety at @hasselbladfoundation’s New Nordic Photography.
