On paper, they should never have been co-founders.

A Goldman Sachs analyst who couldn’t design. A Barcelona print designer who’d never built a website. That’s exactly why Scott Belsky and Matias Corea worked — their skills were completely orthogonal, and both were necessary.

Together they built Behance, the platform 55M+ creatives now use.

The structure behind it:
1. Complementary co-founders → a product credible to investors AND creatives
2. Five years bootstrapped → founder equity preserved, near-zero dilution
3. One Series A, then a $150M Adobe exit 11 months later

And the exit wasn’t the end. It bought two opposite lives — Scott deeper into tech (Adobe’s first CPO, partner at A24), Matias back to the craft and a motorcycle from Brooklyn to Ushuaia. Both only possible because the equity stayed with the builders.

COMPLEMENT = LEVERAGE

Everyone tells you to find a co-founder who gets you. Same taste. Same instincts.

The best partnership is built on the opposite.

A Goldman Sachs analyst who’d never designed anything. A Barcelona print designer who’d never built a website. Scott Belsky and Matias Corea had almost nothing in common — except the mission.

Together they built Behance, the portfolio platform 55M+ creatives now use.

→ 5 years bootstrapped. Zero outside capital.
→ One Series A. 11 months later, Adobe bought it for $150M.
→ The founders held their equity through all of it.

Then they did the rare thing: they each walked a completely different path. Scott went deeper into tech — Adobe’s first-ever CPO, then partner at A24. Matias went back to the craft, riding a motorcycle from Brooklyn to the end of the world.

Two opposite lives. Both bought with the equity they refused to give away.

One month has flown by with our girl! The most beautiful surprise and my greatest teacher yet.

Lucia Cala Corea. Named after my late grandmother Anna Lucia Casarsa.

She arrived at 7:07am on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

@matiascorea and I are absolutely in love with her and forever changed.

Showered with so much love 🤍🤍🤍

Endless gratitude to my mama for planning and bringing this beautiful day to life. The magic was in every detail. From one of my high school besties @creascalzo helping to prep the space the night before, to the gorgeous flowers by @campbellpearson, the whimsical cake by @yip.studio_, the sweetest honey jar favors by @caitlinburkenyc, and the delicious catering by female-owned @brooklynchefcollective. I loved welcoming family, along with old and new friends, into this dreamy, light-filled space—fittingly owned by two mothers I admire so much, @raissaleme_ and @beingperceived.

I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such strong, inspiring women who have supported me in so many ways on my journey to motherhood. And I couldn’t imagine a better partner to do this with, @matiascorea 🤍

We are overflowing with love and can’t wait to meet our little honey bee so soon 🍯🐝

The people, the energy, the intention. A look inside our inaugural salon, Recollect.
In a city that moves this fast, bringing the right minds together in one room feels like the ultimate luxury. No phones, just good cognac, beautiful design, and real conversations.
Thank you to everyone who filled this space with magic and made this vision a reality.
