Welcome back to our Member Spotlight Series, where we highlight remarkable members of Miami Made, showcasing their unique talents, entrepreneurial journeys, and contributions to our community. Meet Max Ringelheim — tech entrepreneur, educator, storyteller, and the founder of multiple ventures built at the intersection of innovation, education, and culture. Max first made headlines as the co-founder of PhunkeeDuck, the brand behind the viral hoverboard phenomenon of 2015. That experience sparked a lasting interest in what makes ideas spread — and, more importantly, what happens behind the scenes when something goes viral. Over the past nine years, Max has also developed a passion for educational technology. After working in sales and marketing at edtech companies including littleBits and Flatiron School, Max returned to his entrepreneurial roots and founded Maximize Education LLC. Today, the company is the exclusive distributor of innovative STEM programs, including Infento Electric Vehicles and Riders Robotics, helping bring hands-on learning and 21st-century skills to students. Max is also the founder of his media company, When Going Viral, which is on a mission to become the leading storyteller behind viral business phenomena. He’s currently working on his upcoming book, When Going Viral Sucks, where he’ll share the story behind the hoverboard craze and what he learned from living through one of the internet’s biggest viral business moments. A Miami resident since 2020, Max is also an avid tennis player and golfer, meditator, salsa dancer, traveler, and beach lover. We’re excited to spotlight Max and celebrate the entrepreneurial curiosity, creativity, and energy he brings to the Miami Made community. Three years ago, I applied for an @infosys_foundation_usa Pathfinders grant with a simple belief: Students deserve opportunities that help them discover what they’re capable of. What I appreciated most about Infosys Pathfinders was that they believed in that vision. Together with partners like @infento, that vision became opportunities for students to create, build, lead, and solve problems in ways that felt meaningful and real. This week, that impact was scattered across my classroom floor. As we prepare for the Third Annual Ancient Olympiad, students were using Infento components to engineer Roman chariots. They were sketching designs, debating ideas, testing solutions, and trying to figure out why one chariot refused to cooperate. A few feet away, another group erupted into cheers when theirs finally rolled. Several years ago, I brought the Ancient Olympiad to our school because I wanted students to do more than learn about ancient civilizations through a text book or Teachers Pay Teachers worksheet….I wanted them to build them. Most people probably look at a Roman chariot and see a history project. I look at it and see students discovering what they’re capable of. To Infosys Pathfinders and Infento, thank you for helping create opportunities that continue to impact students years later.

Impact grows when innovation meets purpose. We are incredibly thankful for Max Ringelheim and his partnership with the Udonis Haslem Foundation. As an EdTech Innovation Extraordinaire, Max has helped open doors for students by working with us to support scholarships through Riders.AI, expanding access to robotics and technology education. This partnership represents what’s possible when forward-thinking leaders invest in the next generation — giving children the chance to explore, learn, and build skills that prepare them for the future. Thank you, Max, for believing in our community’s students and helping us build opportunities that will shape their lives for years to come. We truly appreciate you! #UDCares #HopeAccessOpportunity #Education #STEM #Community.

Mechatronics in Motion! Our Mechatronics class moved into the testing phase of our “Electronic Commuting” solutions lab using Infento Kits — and let’s just say the halls of McCown HS will never be the same 😄 Students put their custom-built mobility prototypes to the test… and who better to keep things running smoothly than Ms. Tang, patrolling our school with elite hallway precision & setting the gold standard for safe commuting! From design → build → test, Mccown Mechatrics students are engineering smarter ways to move through the world — one prototype (and one hallway check) at a time. 💡🔧 #Mechatronics #STEM #Infento #EngineeringDesign #StudentInnovation #McCownHS #FutureEngineers #HandsOnLearning
