Working on some new pieces on linen for @mcrartfair

Lino on linen with acrylic & gouache. It’s a softer colour palette with base ink from @ironbridgefinearts iron ore ink

Shells still need a little colour but so far I’m very much enjoying the results.

So interesting to make impressions on fabric and that don’t need glazing. I’ll be adding simple box frames to make these pieces wall ready.

Which is your favourite? 🦞🐟🐚

I’ll be speaking at Manchester Art Fair on Sunday 22 November, exploring how perspective informs my artistic practice.

The talk draws on ideas explored in my book In Fine Detail, looking at how an understanding of perspective can change the way we see, interpret and draw the world around us.

📍 Central 5, main entrance
🕒 3–3.45pm

The talk will be followed by a book signing. Hope to see some of you there.

Architecture Becomes Art: Artist Talk with Tamara Jovandić-Everson.

The café at Serpentine North Gallery was the perfect venue for an artist talk with @tamarajovandic
Her work seemed to blend beautifully with the sensual curves of Zaha Hadid’s architectural designs.

Our guests and collectors enjoyed an engaging conversation about the influence of architecture on Tamara’s artistic practice, led by Tim Gough, an architect and old friend.

Artist talks offer a wonderful opportunity to connect with an artist’s practice, way of thinking and get a deeper understanding of their creative vision. They can also be the perfect occasion to acquire a work of art on an “as seen, as bought” basis - just as one of our wonderful collectors did, having supported Tamara’s work for many years.

Tamara will be exhibiting at @mcrartfair 19-22 November 2026, presenting works from her new series alongside pieces previously shown at @londonartfair 2026.

There’s something about copper that never feels entirely fixed. As the light changes, areas recede into shadow while others catch and become more visible.

In Penumbra, I wanted to keep that tension between darkness and illumination, allowing the patination and surface to do much of the work.
