What I typically eat in day. There’s also some kind of sweet treat in there which I didn’t record (dark chocolate, greek yoghurt + biscoff or a gluten free donut) cause I have a huge sweet tooth.

I’m all about simplicity and consistency, a big reason why I recommend the Daily Longevity Stack from @melrose.futurelab , it has 15 actives in one scoop, including NMN, Creatine, Resveratrol and L-Theanine, designed to simplify the supplements you’d otherwise be taking separately.

Buon appetito!

Before You're Ready.

I've spent a ridiculous amount of time waiting to be ready.

Ready to launch something. Ready to share an idea. Ready to put something into the world that other people might have an opinion about.

I'll change the name, adjust the packaging, revisit the photograph, question the entire idea and then convince myself it just needs another week.

I've always called it attention to detail. And sometimes it is. Other times, I suspect it's a rather elaborate way of avoiding the possibility of getting something wrong.

When I started Mr Ian, I wanted to create things that meant something to me. Fragrances, objects and stories that came from my own experiences and observations.

Somewhere along the way, I forgot that I was allowed to trust my own judgement.

So I'm trying something different.

Backing my ideas. Making decisions. Putting things into the world while there's still a little uncertainty attached to them.

Not everything will work. Some things will probably be terrible. I'll undoubtedly look back at a few decisions and wonder what on earth I was thinking.

But at least they'll exist.

Before You're Ready.

I think that's what Mr Ian has been about all along. I just hadn't quite worked it out yet.

Yes, that's fragance in the fridge..

People have been asking me lately what my mornings look like?

Here are my non-negotiables:
1. Morning sunlight
I wake up at the same time every day and get outside to see the sunrise. It sets my circadian rhythm early, which is what drives restorative sleep at night.
2. Get moving
30 pushups first thing. It spikes cortisol early in the day, which helps melatonin production later that evening. You want to peak your cortisol the morning, not at night.
3. Caffeinate
I try not to just neck it. I take a few minutes with my coffee and sit in thought before the day gets loud.
4. Exercise
I get this in early so I feel the benefits through the whole day, more energy, better mood from the endorphin release, plus it reinforces the circadian rhythm signal.
5. Refuel
High protein breakfast with some carbs to properly fuel the day ahead.
6. Creatine
I finish with a shake, always with 10g of creatine in it. It’s one of the most studied supplements in the world, brain support and muscle repair are the main reasons I take it. My choice is @melrose.futurelab , I rate their purity and quality above the rest.
