This past Thursday & Friday I got the opportunity to go to the in person @metabolismschool event in Raleigh! A certification I received this year that has completely leveled up my knowledge on all things metabolism, hormones, & client cases 🫶🏻 Continuing education is really important - make sure your coach is doing it!!!

The over arching theme was “be yourself”. If you want to swear on socials, fucking swear 🤪 If you’re coaching style is direct and sassy, lean into it. Your social presence, coaching style, and personality should all align.

It’s always eye opening when you get to talk to people who were in the same shoes as you and made it work. Through the self doubt, the unexpected business changes, you figure it out if you believe you can. ✨

Too many coaches operate from a place of being right and trying to impress their peers instead of operating from a place of helping the client. Which is why we all do this to begin with 🫶🏻

You can’t grow as a coach if you aren’t investing in my education. AI cannot replace critical thinking and that’s what you need when you coach actual humans. There’s nuance in a living person. They aren’t just blood panels and macros. @sammillerscience

The more brains there are, the better the chance of solving the problem! Also, online coaching can feel really isolating. Surrounding yourself with people who get it is extremely validating 🥹

Traveling during a fat loss phase can come with a few more challenges, but it doesn’t mean your goals have to go out the window.

A few coaches, a few different tips, and one big reminder…stay true to what YOU want.

And if you’re traveling with someone working toward a goal, don’t make it weird. Don’t pressure them to eat, drink or do something just because everyone else is.

Everyone’s on their own journey. Support them where they are.

One of the best things that happened when I left bedside nursing was pursuing the competitive athlete I thought I left behind in college…

Turns out being burnt out was the problem 🤷🏼‍♀️

Finding Legal Nursing was simply the best pivot, go learn how to do the same ➡️ @Legalnurseeducation 🤏🏼📚

A short 24 weeks of cutting ✌🏼I mean that truly, 24 weeks is nothing.

I often get asked if I’m hungry, if I’m tired. I so appreciate the consideration but I have a huge gift in perspective. All I feel is gratitude to get to be in a place to challenge myself like this.

I immediately think of the days I worked bedside and wouldn’t eat all day, hardly took a water break, or had such sick patients I didn’t make it to the bathroom once.

No I’m not hungry.

I remember when I worked night shift I’d pre caffeinate at 4am so I would decrease the number of times I fell asleep at the wheel as I drove home. I’d be so tired every footstep was an out of body experience. Just to fall into bed and wake up and do it again.

No, I’m not tired.

This doesn’t even cover the patients I took care of who would go to the ED just for a meal. Who would be in a medically induced coma for weeks with tube feed or IV nutrition sustaining them.

You will never hear me complain about a CHOICE to challenge myself when I’ve witnessed people with no choice for unspeakable challenges face them head on without complaint.

Only gratitude over here 💕
