What an incredible weekend full of beautiful memories and incredibly difficult miles. Ever since failing my mega @midsouthgravel attempt last year, getting it done this year was all I could think about. And it could not have gone any better!! So happy I conquered it finally.

The first 100 miles I had a blast just seeing everyone along the ride and starting off super strong. Right before getting to Guthrie I got to link up an incredible crew that got me through the night. Thank you to @unlearnpavement , Les, Dawson, @foster_pace and the rest of the crew for keeping spirits high all night. What a blast from Guthrie to Perry. Unforgettable. Day 2 I woke up beat up from all those 170 miles the day before, but not ready to call it quits. Rolled out with @michaelkingart and got to group up with Bobby and Michael again. @unlearnpavement your energy is infectious, thank you much for keeping spirits so high and making this Mega Midsouth one of the best rides ever.

And to @baylor_mcpherson, @samuelmorstain , and @oh_noshin_didnt for being there to congratulate me at the very end I'll forever be grateful. And everyone else who congratulated me at my finish, I love you all. Still can't believe I did this in under 40 hrs.

Special shout out to @bugsbikesbricks for helping me with last minute bike things, @crop.t0p for being a workout buddy that made me strong enough to conquer this and @jooniejerb for some killer banana bread that kept me fueled.

We’re rolling over to Sanborn Lake tonight. Mostly pavement all the way there, followed by some sweet singletrack around the lake. This will be a good one, bring the good vibes and charge those lights!

It’s new bike day for @jorgegonzestrella! He couldn’t resist the charms of this @salsacycles Flyway and today he got to take it on its maiden voyage! Jorge is a big part of our community and we couldn’t be more pumped to get him on his new dream machine. Happy new bike day!!

For tonight’s ride we’re doing an all-time classic: Inspiration Point out-and-back. 12 miles, 10ish mph pace.

⚠️WEDNESDAY FRIENDSDAY RIDE GUIDE⚠️

1️⃣ DON’T PASS THE RIDE LEADER! The leader is there to set the pace, keep the group together, guide the route, and insure that the entire group rides together.

2️⃣ THIS IS A NO-DROP RIDE! We will regroup as needed so that nobody rides alone!

3️⃣ BE MINDFUL OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS! There will be riders of all experience levels present, and we are riding on public roads, so just be cool.

4️⃣ FOLLOW THE RULES OF THE ROAD! We will stop at stop lights, stop or yield at stop signs, signal our turns and generally not ride like a pack of jerks.

5️⃣ HELMETS AND LIGHTS REQUIRED! We are riding off-road and we often ride treacherous terrain. It’s fun, but inherently dangerous, so let’s be responsible and wear helmets.

Saturday! Group rides continue! Sept 12th. We’ll have a 20 & 30 mile option heading into the rollers and our favorite roads southwest of town. Leaving District at 8am and hitting Stonecloud after for recovery beverages. Turnout has been great the past few weeks! Thanks to everyone that’s been coming. Hope to see you there! Route links in bio. #districtbicycles #unlearnpavement

It’s still hot AF out there, and tonight we’re going to celebrate the heat by riding down to Cindy’s Pizza! This one is all paved, but on trash pavement, so you’ll still want a gravelly bike. Rolling at 6:15!

It’s a toasty summer evening, so we’re doing a short lil’ gravel jam. Washington>68th>Husband>Stonecloud. 11 miles tonight, 10-12mph pace with plenty of regroups as needed. It’s hot, so bring extra water and plenty of snacks!
