Happy #summerfridayfanfic and get your passports ready, folks. We’re traveling all around the globe this week with some destination spots that break up the monotony. I didn’t include the fic summary this week and summarized it myself, so I hope the format is still enjoyable. All can be found on ao3 💕 #harrypotterfanfiction #harrypotterfanfic #dramione #rarepair

Magic in the Tropics by miriamomar https://archiveofourown.org/works/62575270?view_full_work=true Hermione Granger, a Magical Anthropologist, travels to Southeast Asia to study rare Magical Beings. Armed with “A Wizard’s Guide to Southeast Asian Magical Beings” and “The Hidden Histories of Colonized Magic”, she’s eager to learn from locals but struggles to make connections. While dining at a boutique luxury resort, she unexpectedly encounters the elusive, low profile Draco Malfoy, who -of course- happens to own several high-end hotels and has a surprising knowledge of Malaysian culture. They strike a deal to work together, embarking on a magical adventure through villages, jungles, underwater cities, and *Kuala Mistik*, Malaysia’s wizarding district. With the help of Draco’s local friend, Izan, they explore the wonders of Southeast Asian magic, uncovering its secrets while - GASP - falling in love. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 What an adventure! This fic is set in Malaysia and features South East Asian magical lore. The world building alone is superb. I was riveted as Draco and Hermione went on their adventure and gets transported to wonderful, scary, sometimes unforgiving magical worlds. I loved their personalities and of course their banter and conversation. Lots of pining and longing with the sweetest ending. Loved this fic!! #dramione #dracoandhermione #hermione #dramionefanfic #dramionefanfiction #dramionelove #draco #harrypotter #hermionegranger #dracomalfoy #magicinthetropics #miriamomar

In an effort to diversify my creative pursuits, ive just written and released my first ever Dramione fanfic on Ao3!!! (link in bio - its free!) I love Harry Potter and I especially love the Draco + Hermione pairing - so ive decided to write a fic thats based in MALAYSIA and features Malaysian Magical culture and creatures. I had so much fun writing it! I had to think about how Malaysian's Wizarding district would be like (The entrance is in Kg Bharu) The magic schools (SMK Sihir, University Sihir Malaysia) our Malaysian made broom (Jati Teguh) and I featured all the Pontianaks, Langsuirs and all that jazzzzzz. The fic is set in an island in the east coast (Terengganu vibes) and in KL! Expect lots of banter, pining, romcom gedik and Draco redemption arc!!! Also Draco cakap Melayu cause he's lived here for over 10 years 😂❤️ Ive released 5 chapters, and will release more tonight! Please leave a comment so I know you read ittttt! Enjoy :)
