After weeks of trying to recover over $15,000 worth of inventory lost by DHL, it was YOU who helped us finally get the answers we needed.

Thanks to everyone who shared our story, tagged DHL, and helped spread the word, our situation reached Tia, a Black woman executive at DHL who stepped in and helped us recover our package within just 24 HOURS! 🎉

As a small, Black woman-owned business, this loss could have been devastating. But because of our incredible community, we get to celebrate a very different ending. 🤎

To Tia, THANK YOU for taking our concerns seriously and helping us get our inventory back. You're the real MVP! 👑

And to every single person who commented, shared, tagged, or sent us words of encouragement, we cannot thank you enough.

While we hope no other small business has to go through what we experienced, this reminded us just how powerful it is when a community comes together.

We couldn't have done this without you. THANK YOU! 🫶🏿✨

An update on @dhlus @dhl_global losing $15K of our inventory

As we've previously shared, DHL lost over $15,000 worth of our inventory, including pieces that were supposed to be shipped to our customers.

Since sharing our story, we’ve been in contact with DHL's team via DM. Unfortunately, we have no further updates or information.

We've also submitted two formal claims online per their request, but both times they did not get back to us or said there was no claim on file (despite previously giving us a claim number as confirmation)

We've called DHL every single day, but these conversations have been unproductive, often contradictory, and at times, we've been met with rude and dismissive responses.

As of today, we will also be filing a police report and lawsuit.

For a small, growing business like ours, a loss of this magnitude is devastating. And what's made this experience even more frustrating is the lack of clear answers, accountability, and urgency in helping us find a resolution.

To everyone who has shared our story, tagged DHL, sent us encouraging messages, or shown us support in any way: THANK YOU. 🤎

And to our customers, thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we navigate this incredibly difficult situation. We're doing everything we can to make things right.

We're asking our community to please continue amplifying our story and tagging @dhlglobal @dhlus. We need them to understand that this situation is unacceptable, not just for Zigleys, but for any small business working hard to grow and serve its customers.

We deserve answers. We deserve accountability. And we deserve a resolution.

@dhlglobal lost over $15,000 worth of our inventory. And as a small, growing Black woman-owned business, the impact has been devastating.

These were pieces we invested in, worked hard to create, and were preparing to ship to customers who have been patiently waiting for their orders.

Despite our efforts to get answers and resolve this situation, we’re still left with more questions than solutions. We've now filed the claim twice and both times they either haven't gotten back to us or said no claim was filed. It's clear they are not taking this situation seriously, and we deserve accountability.

When you're a small business funding your own growth, a loss of this magnitude isn't just an inconvenience. It impacts our customers, our cash flow, and our ability to continue growing.

We're doing everything we can to find a resolution and get our customers the pieces they've been waiting for. But we need DHL to take this situation seriously and help us get answers.

To our Zigleys community: thank you for your patience, your encouragement, and for continuing to support us through one of the most challenging moments we've faced as a business. It means more than you know. 🤎

Please help us amplify this story by sharing this post and tagging @dhlus and @dhlglobal. We just want accountability, answers, and a resolution.

Zigleys started as a passion project and a labor of love. Essence Fest affirmed that we truly are doing something important. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. We will continue fulfilling our purpose which is to celebrate Black beauty and culture and create jewelry worthy of our crowns.

Zigleys started as a product just for me, but it became my love letter to Black hair.

It was my way of saying we are beautiful and absolutely worthy of the best.

In a time where we have gold and diamond necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, we knew that our hair - our crowns - should have high-quality options too.

Zigleys is here to remind us that our natural hair is beautiful, classy, professional and luxurious. Zigleys is here to honor that beauty with jewelry worthy of our crowns.
