πŸ’ŽπŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸπŸ€–Register for the Workshop: lets do some fun stuff! Training Your Best Friend: Diamonds & Robots I will give a workshop next ssturday! We will experiment with robotic companions - from the purring metacat to a bipedal walking robot. together we'll test routines, develop "training tasks" through diamond coding, and place the machines in new roles. πŸ—“ Saturday, 17 October 2026 ⌚️11:00-14:00 πŸ“feldfünf, Fromet-und-Moses-Mendelssohn-Platz 7-8, 10969 Berlin ✍️ Registration via email: info@medienkunstverein.com *no prior knowledge required. *You're welcome to bring your own robot. In the workshop Training Your Best Friend, participants encounter a range of robots: from the purring MetaCat to the bipedal walking robot. Together, routines are tested small "training tasks" are developed through Diamond Coding, and the machines are placed in new roles. This shared experiment offers a double perspective: on the one hand, it provides basic knowledge about how robots function; on the other, it invites us to question our own habits in dealing with these "obedient obiects." What does friendship mean when it is co-shaped by algorithms? What does it mean to train a machine and who is traininc whom? In her workshop, artist Kathrin Hunze (mkv) invites participants to explore the relationship between humans, robots and learning systems free of charge, no prior experience required, for everyone interested Part of the festival of HIDDEN PROCESSES, the 10 vear anniversarv exhibition of the medienkunstverein. 15-31 October at feldfünf. Apparently, October is the Oktoberfest of media art. There are almost too many festivals happening this month, so we collected a few worth knowing about β€” from Brno and Basel to Buenos Aires. Save this for your October plans. And if we missed one, drop it in the comments. More recommendations like these in CIFRA Club β€” link in bio.

Morbid Tech at MADDD Festival 2026 A video from the series (designed to don't re-trigger City Hall's censorship) is among the 5 selected for the MMMAD Festival 2026 in Madrid throughout the city with 300 screens - 16-26 April: https://mmmad.art/Open-Call-digital-art-in-the-city. Moreover, last December, a 3D model from the Morbid Tech participated at Miami Art Week 2025 as an AR sculpture through the exhibition Code:Blue, part of BitBasel: https://skfb.ly/pDJBq The Concept: As artificial intelligence relentlessly pursues human likeness, the lines between machine and flesh begin to blur. This transmedia series (AR, VR, Video) explores a chilling future where technology design no longer hides its ambition. Instead, it embraces it with visceral honesty. Imagine processors encased in synthetic skin, interfaces pulsing with artificial veins, and cooling systems that mimic respiration. The sculpture invites viewers into a world where technology doesn’t just simulate humanity, it wears it. Rather than pursuing the transhumanist ideal of enhancement and optimized transcendence (a β€œbetter” human subject extended through technology), Morbid Tech leans into a critical posthumanist sensibility: it reveals the already-present, messy entanglement of bodies and machines, deconstructing anthropocentric boundaries without assuming progress or clean resolution. Technology here does not liberate or perfect; it inhabits and is inhabited by the flesh in an unsettling, material co-evolution. Thank you all! #morbidtech #MMMADFESTIVAL
