🎙️ Tonight! Experimental hip-hop artist Rael joins Joe in the studio for a live set and interview, amongst track selections including Erykah Badu, Moor Mother, billy woods & Tricky.

Rael makes text-and-speech based music; warped beats and existential poetry, the pits and peaks of love and imagination, late nights and: long walks through the city. The sound world beats a dark slow rhythm, drawing on post-dub, guitar music and trip-hop. Rael is formally of the disaster pop group Nukuluk.

All star cast including @cj.calderwood @caiuswilliams_ and @charleshayward_music

I will be performing two new songs/poems 'bird in the hand' & 'stone eater'.

Last week I had the sweet pelasure of putting out a 5 track EP 'Towards Muscle' fruit of a tender 3 day collaboration between @tlkvox @cud.recs and myself.

It was a true revelation in my music making process (love, limitations and letting go are very important). It's been recieved with love, the same way it has been made and for that I am very thankful.

I've been turning down shows recently trying to focus on making some more recordings. here is so so much music to be explored, and so little time. HoWEVER I could not turn down these ones:

🎵 Wednesday 26 I will be supporting @mrymrymry___ for their single release show at the Greyhound. @prayer_tech also on the bill. Very very pleased

🎵 Wednesday 3 December supporting @lolk.unofficial for their album show. Long long time being in music alongside them, extroainaroly meaningful for me. @angbry___ also on the bill.

🎵 Friday 12 December playing a little something something but that's not announced yet. Keep your eyes peeled.

❤️‍🔥All I do is work and make sounds and write texts, many many things to share, all coming in due time. ❤️‍🔥

📷 Photos were taken in Belgium at a show I did out there in October. Thanks again to @for.nothing_______ for having me and to @_mad___dreamer_ for the pictures.

“to earth will you tell me when we land” out now

👾Thank you filmmaker supernova @dylanfriesegreene for bringing this to life in such a gorgeous way
👾Thank you you cosmic craft angel @serencarys for set design and making dozens of tin foil cardboard stars

And thank you to the most perfect play planets there ever were
@r0zm0z aka Mercury | @monik_a_er aka Venus | @mrskydaddy aka Earth | @bl00mfield aka Mars | @a.little.merman aka Jupiter | @nite.mair aka Saturn | @evelyn_____gray aka Uranus | @megan.i.jenkins aka Neptune

I’m v obsessed with astronomy and this song is about syzygy (when three celestial bodies like the sun, moon and earth align in a near straight line during an eclipse). I like that idea of perfect but fleeting alignment BUT ALSO tomorrow is the biggest and brightest super moon of the year and that is nice and perfect yes??

💫💫💫
Endless thank yous always to the inimitable producer @alichant and luminary engineer @niklas.lueger for their wondrous soundness and to @alexander.vatagin for mastering!

And to my beautiful talented adorable band who I cherish so much
@annie_walton2 on cello
@ug.hit on the drums
@thejeanjeaniee on keys
@megan.i.jenkins on bass and of course @danmooremusic on piano!!

And a million thank yous to the team, magic manager Charlie Murdoch and angel label mum @zoefactorystudios and @fascinationstreetrecords and angels at @overheard.pr and the team at @braceyourself_pr and @republicofmusic

I am so very grateful for all of you and so lucky to be able to have so much fun making and creating 👾👾
