Looking back to October & November. As the seasons changed in nature, our lives changed too. This year had been incredibly difficult and completely unprecedented, but November was one of the best months of my life.

To sum up how I feel about it all: I don’t want to be anywhere outside of God’s will for my life, and if that means it looks completely different than I thought, I’m okay with it. My sister in law reminded me this past week of the picture of Jesus holding something bigger in exchange for what He asks us to give.

In September, I wrote in my journal a question the Lord asked me. He said, “In this season where things are being taken away, what will you surrender to me willingly?”

That was the day I knew I was supposed to make a change. To sum it up best, listen to the full song on this post. But here’s the meat of it:

Hold on, wait a minute
I don’t want what You ain’t in
And I don’t wanna go
Unless I’m going there with You
It’s You there, rain or shining
You’re the sun on my horizon
You are my everything
My Promised Land is You

One thing I ask, and this I’ll seek

I already have everything God has promised to me. His love, grace, and my family. The salary, the job, the house, they’re all just things. The will of God is everything and I want mine to be His.

Here’s to whatever He wills next! 🥂
I have never been more at peace than I am now. 🤍

// s p r i n g // Spring is typically a hectic season already, but 2024 has proven to be a time when our family needed to be patient with each other, grounded in our faith, and intentional about maintaining good rhythms despite the busyness of this year.

✌🏼 quick things:

#menssummit24 was incredible, and I am proud of our Gateway Men’s team and every other department at Gateway for pulling off another amazing conference. I have heard countless stories of lives being changed.

Also, go see the movie @unsungheromovie in theaters. It was #2 at the box office last weekend and is a fantastic film that champions family values.

Hopefully the pictures included can articulate in ways my words might fail to describe how awesome the past 45 days have been. It has been an epic gauntlet of incredible events one after another.

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” I’m not sure if I’ll end the day smiling, crying or both…but I know I’ll be so happy that these last 12 years happened. It has been one of my highest honors to be part of the ministry events at Gateway Church, but the real impact on me will forever be the people I’ve worked with who have grown me, influenced me, and molded me into who I am today. The BIGGEST shoutout to @robbbrewer who hired me so long ago, and then taught me how to be a leader who cares and invests in others. The first part of a well built foundation is the footing. This part distributes weight evenly for the rest of the parts/layers to come. Robb, you created a solid footing for me to continue to build on. Thank you!!! Even though I’m excited for what’s next, today I’m celebrating what has been. I love you @gatewaypeople staff!!

Blessing to be a part of this team and help men have encounters with Jesus by helping facilitate memorable experiences. It is the sweetest blessing to be able to help make people feel welcomed, taken care of, and thought of by taking care of the minute details.

I’m excited to be doing hair full time! If you’re in DFW, tag your friends and family! I come to you, and offer a full service salon experience in your own home!

Moms and dads, no more wrangling all the kiddos and taking them to the salon where they act all crazy! It doesn’t get any better than having the salon come to you!

Pink Impact. The Holy Spirit met us there. It was so special seeing the Lord move in so many women’s lives & it’s just the beginning!

He is faithful. He is right on time. He loves you. He has a plan & a purpose for YOU!

It’s been an absolute privilege to serve and oversee the @gatewaywomenofficial team the past several months. This year’s Pink Impact theme was “BOLD” and that’s exactly what this team represented. I’ve watched them go through transitions, battle through sickness/hardships and yet, through all the uncountable obstacles they faced, this team never blinked. They trudged through the muck and the mire and still put Jesus first in everything they did for this conference. As a result, this one felt different. The room was electric at the first downbeat and the attendees and staff didn’t let up the entire time.

I’m thankful for this Central Women’s team and the leadership of Pastor Bridgette, ReShea, Nicole and the next generation of leaders coming in.

I know it was an absolute joy for Pastor Chris, Tim and the rest of the @gateway_men’s team to serve the ladies of this conference.

Men’s Summit, after the Father Daughter Dance, you are up.

GME - What a season. I have learned so much about myself and even more on how much the Lord loves me. How amazing is it that the Lord prioritizes us and our well-beings before ever asking us to serve other people. The Lord has done such a work in my personal life, as well. He has healed areas I didn’t even know needed healing. I got to experience many different types of ministry and branch out of my comfort zone. I learned new things and new people. I will forever remember the amazing, wonderful, and unique individuals I have gotten to meet and know. This season will be forever cherished in my heart. I am so thankful that God said yes to GME, as well as Pastor @phillipaphunter, and @toricorbo for all they have done in pouring into me.

Highly recommend doing GME.
