Started the semester with a collaborative art direction workshop and resulting publication ‘Body Office Corp’ with my group of 3rd year @msoagraphicdesign students @mcrschart The premise of the workshop was to research, visualise and exaggerate the effects and impacts on the human body from working within ‘the office’. Each group was given an office appliance, a directive prompt and shooting within makeshift office spaces. The results are published into a 48 page publication that will be launched and sold @boundartbookfair with profits going towards this year’s Graphic Design Degree Show fund. Each copy hand stickered, very limited run! re — remember over the summer, we were tasked with creating a poster based on a word beginning with “re”. i chose “remember”, inspired by my grandfather who has dementia. this poster is a way for me to revisit the memories we’ve shared that he’s most likely forgotten.

RE:FRAME - my time within the graphic design space has been so full of fantastic experiences and opportunities, but unfortunately also full of self doubt and imposter syndrome. i've been letting the idea that i'm not good enough compared to other graphic designers eat me up, which put me in a creative rut that was extremely hard to get out of. over the summer i discovered a newfound passion for traditional tattoo style illustration, and it has genuinely brought back all the joy and excitement i had around creating. RE:FRAME is a poster celebrating that, in combination with the digital design skills i've developed over my time in university - reframing the way i look at graphic design as a discipline to work around my strengths rather than the black-and-white idea that held me down for so long. . . #graphicdesign#posterdesign#illustration#traditionaltattoo#tattooflash

We are excited to say we’re once again looking for students and graduates who would like to co-run a table at: Bound Art Book Fair October 31st - November 1st 2026 at The Whitworth, Manchester Selected applicants will showcase their own publications at the fair, and work together to plan a cohesive set up for the weekend to platform and sell work. Follow the link in our bio to apply! One student from last years cohort had this to say about their experience at Bound: “The Bound Art Book Fair RISE course has been a really valuable experience, allowing me to re-interpret my practice and situate my work in a publishing context. Usually I find the first semester to be fairly slow in terms of my making process, however working on my publication for Bound gave me a goal to work towards during the first few months back on campus after summer. I learnt so much from working alongside George and Lisa and the other students on the table, spending time with people from different courses within MSoA. Following on from Bound I have been published and paid for my writing via a connection that I made at the book fair. Overall I feel that the Bound Art Book Fair RISE course has noticeably enriched my creative network in Manchester.” Please apply with the following info: ❤️ Your name, course and year group, or date of graduation. ❤️ Information about the book / zine project you would like to bring to the fair. ❤️ Link to documentation of your previous work (websites or instagrams welcome). ❤️ A short paragraph about why you’d like to be involved in set up and running of the table. ❤️ Whether you’re available for initial meet ups in October. ❤️ Whether you’re available to run the stall at October 31st - November 1st. Students and graduates from all courses and backgrounds are welcome to apply 🙏
