Disponibili in negozio e online. Spedizioni in tutto il mondo. 📦

Disponibili in negozio e online. Spedizioni in tutto il mondo.📦

Today marks the first wedding anniversary of Lauren Sánchez and Jeff P. Bezos, the founder of Amazon. The couple married a year ago in Venice, a setting long associated with ceremony, the display of wealth, and the historical staging of power. Their three-day wedding celebrations quickly became a controversial event for the city, attracting widespread protests and intense media attention, and reigniting ongoing debates about Venice’s struggle with overtourism and the persistent use of the city as a consumable image. During those days, I followed their wedding celebrations for international media. On the final evening, I waited for nearly four hours on the Accademia Bridge to capture their wedding parade through a vedutista approach, echoing the style of eighteenth-century painters who transformed the city into a reproducible image. From that experience came the idea of creating, as an anniversary gift, a 500-piece art puzzle that translates this moment into a collectible and participatory object. Jeff P. Bezos, King of Amazon; Wedding Parade in Canal Grande, 2025 features the newly married couple accompanied by an entourage of private security, police, and paparazzi. The work situates a contemporary spectacle within a historical framework, blurring the line between documentation and invention while inviting viewers to reconstruct the image piece by piece. Jeff P. Bezos, King of Amazon Wedding Parade in Canal Grande, 2025 Art Puzzle, 500 pieces, ca. 35 x 50 cm @muddyisland

It is my great pleasure to introduce you to my first Venetian project: Jeff P. Bezos, King of Amazon Wedding Parade in Canal Grande, 2025 Art Puzzle, 500 pieces, ca. 35 x 50 cm @muddyisland June 27 will mark the first wedding anniversary of Lauren Sánchez and Jeff P. Bezos, founder of Amazon. The couple married in 2025 in Venice, a setting associated with ceremony, the display of wealth, and the historical staging of power. Their three-day wedding celebrations quickly became a controversial event for the city, attracting vivid protests and intense media attention from around the world, reigniting ongoing debates about Venice’s continuing struggle with overtourism and the persistent use of the city as a consumable image. The 500-piece art puzzle is conceived as an anniversary gift, translating this moment into a collectible and participatory object. Jeff P. Bezos, King of Amazon; Wedding Parade in Canal Grande, 2025 features the newly married couple accompanied by an entourage of private security, police, and paparazzi. The scene is rendered in the visual language of traditional Venetian vedute, echoing the style of 18th-century painters who transformed the city into a reproducible image. Through this approach, the work situates a contemporary spectacle within a historical framework, blurring the line between documentation and invention while inviting the viewer to reconstruct the image piece by piece.

【New Arrivals: Muddyisland】 From Venice to Hong Kong to Berlin: Photobooks newly arrived from Muddyisland @muddyisland Muddyisland is an independent publishing house founded in 2021 by visual artist Pierfrancesco Celada @fotografante to produce and promote his personal artistic projects. Muddyisland was born on a small island in the South China Sea, where the artist has lived for eight years (2014–2022), and currently operates from Murano island. Instagrampier The Instagrampier is a public cargo pier located on the west side of Hong Kong Island. Every day, a great number of instagrammers, photographers and curious gather daily at the pier, especially at sunset, for taking selfies and scenic photos. I started walking to the pier on a daily basis, and I soon begun noticing all the repetitions, including my own. When I feel down I take a train to the Happy Valley Hong Kong is a place of strong contrasts; a claustrophobic urban environment surrounded by water and uncontained nature. I lived in Hong Kong with my family for eight years, from October 2014 to May 2022. Occasionally, while walking in the city, you could spot a tram go past; its destination sign reading ‘Happy Valley’, its terminal stop. One a Day During the pandemic I have spent most of my days on the island. It provided shelter for me and my family. Once a day, a local vegetable shop owner burns incense to wish good fortunes for her business. I like to think that, during those difficult times, those offerings provided protection for us all. Counting Ships The island lies just a short ferry ride away; a 25-minute journey separating it from one of the most densely populated regions. I lived on the island for five years. Each day, I would commute to the city, crossing one of the busiest maritime trade routes, with more than two hundred cargo ships passing daily. Come check out these island-born books! We are open every weekend, 13:00–18:00. P60 - Prinzenallee 60 is jointly run by: @impression.taiwan @deerlandtea_taiwan @encounters.hongkong #bookspace #independentbookshop #independentpublishing #asiandiaspora #berlin

«One a day» — перша книга серії «The island» від @muddyisland "Під час пандемії я проводив більшість своїх днів на острові. --- "One a day" — the first book in the "The Island" series by @muddyisland.
