The last two days of my show at Cristin Tierney Gallery were as exciting as the opening, with memorable surprise visits from near and far and from present and past lives...

Hard to know where to begin, but of course I must start with the surprise appearance of Jerry Saltz, who carefully looked at the work, and I so appreciated our conversation. Another surprise was seeing Ann Schaumburger, who went to Skidmore with me, for the first time since graduation!!! So pleased Mary Lucier made it down to visit, and Judith Tannenbaum got back in time from London.

Multiple conversations and connections continued happening all at once throughout the day, and my heart is full! Nadine Orenstein brought her great art historian mother Gloria Orenstein, who I first connected with in the 70s, for a reunion on her birthday. My friend and amazing curator, Donna Gustafson also made it to visit. And then a “virtual” acquaintance, Margaret Murphy from Johns Hopkins appeared.

There were also two marine biologists from the Smithsonian, who came on the suggestion of Pat McGonagle, (the Deputy Director and Senior Scientist, at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center). We met back in 2021 at my AU SEEING CLIMATE CHANGE show. My dear friends Kathy Epstein and Martin Letterman dropped by toward the end of the day with their friends Jeffrey and Lilian Sherman.

Another surprise I wasn't expecting was my dear friends Ivy Silver and Steve Leshner showing up - who I thought were on their way back to Miami…. And then FREDERICKA FOSTER and BEN SCHAPIRO who the night before joined us for dinner after seeing the show.

Just as I was about to leave around 5:30 on Saturday the last surprise, my dear former Studio assistant Ella Konefal visited with her sister Thea. Please forgive me for not listing some more of you who were there with whom I just didn't get any shots…

I am so grateful to all who were able to see this very special show while it was up, and the team at #CristinTierneyGallery who helped realize this show in such a beautiful way.

Thank you 💞 & As Always... more to come! 😉 🌍
