Facilitator reveal: Gina & Simcha 🌀

One year ago, on Samhain/Halloween, Ancestral Rhythms held its very first dance. This Samhain we return to the fire to celebrate our birthday on the Witch’s New Year!

Our power sisters, Gina and Simcha, will be bringing the Ceremonial opening with some guided movement and practices to ignite our space.

Samhain is when the veil thins and the dead draw close. Before we dance wild, we want to help you arrive.

After we warm up and dance with Mare, we will open the ceremonial space. Using our breath, sound, and movement, we’ll drop out of our heads and into our bodies, waking the bones that carry the memory of those who came before us.

We’ll call in our ancestors and set our intentions, then be guided by Ghost Pipe as he takes us on a journey with his live music and instruments.
Gina (@milkweed_medicine) and Simcha (@mysticsimcha ) have spent almost two years weaving ceremony together through The Wholly School, their somatic and ceremonial work, and their retreats and guided journeys.

It is simply a blessing to have them bring what they do so naturally together to Ancestral Rhythms as we dance through the Wheel of the Year.

Bring a photo, memento, or offering for the Ancestor Altar. Bring a warm coat or non-perishables for the drive. Bring the people you love, kids too. And bring whatever you’re ready to grieve, honor, and release as the year turns.

Photo dawmp from the last two weeks at Harmonic Earth festival and Love portal!

Honestly I had such a magical , wonderful time and it was filled with joy and community and also tears and pain. The duality of the experience haha.
Coming into this space new- not attatched to a role or a relationship, coming into this space free, coming into this space with some baggage to move through.
And I wouldn’t want it to be any other way. How it is right now is exactly where it’s supposed to be right now.

I am feeling a lot of gratitude too, for the opportunity to be a part of this space. To volunteer and share myself , To connect with the land , to connect with community. To connect with myself .
I am feeling grateful for all of the effort and hands that went into creating this event, the hands and hearts that planned and worked together. The hands and hearts that fed and nourished all weekend. The hands and hearts that are able to witness eachother becoming.

Thank you stonehedge and Tom, thank you to the facilitator team and for all of the love that we all shared to bring these events to life.

And the final video , is the first ever drum circle I got to start. A friend chose me to begin the drum beat and I was excited and nervous. Nervous I might not be able to sustain a consistent beat for everyone to build upon. Nervous that my beat was to simple. But it bloomed into something more wonderful and empowering than I couldve ever imagined. Thank you Ceilidh. I needed this .❤️.

🕯️ DJ SPOTLIGHT: GHOST PIPE 🕯️

Philly fam, this one is tender.

On Samhain, Ghost Pipe will play his final set in the Philly area before he heads west. We are so honored that his farewell lands on our dance floor, on the night the veil is thinnest, as Ancestral Rhythms celebrates its very first birthday.

Ghost Pipe is the internationally touring musical offering of Connor Wills, a holistic psychotherapist and professor of psychology and counseling. It is so much more than a DJ set. Connor weaves original production with live, improvised, multi-instrumental percussion, creating space for healing and spiritual growth. His music invites us back into connection with Creator, with the plant medicine path, and with our ancestral roots, through movement and through each other.

His sound leans toward Indigenous music from South America and West Africa, carried with deep respect and reverence for those cultures and their traditions.

Ghost pipe is also a plant that glows white in the dark forest, living by the hidden threads that connect everything beneath our feet. What a perfect medicine to dance with on the night we honor our ancestors.

So come move with him one more time. Come say thank you. Come send him off with all the love this community has to give. 🖤

The past four weeks have been wildly potent. Ceremony, Harmonic Earth, Junxion Campout, and ancestral medicine, one unfolding right after the next. Goddess, I am grateful for the love that has met me through moments of initiation and surrender. I am humbled and in awe of the wisdom of life and death that I have only begun to touch the surface of. Now it’s time to sit in the stillness of letting it all melt into my bones. 💧🌀🌹🪶🦴🪾

Opening these weekend community murals up to participation from people of all ages is integral to the intention of the experience, and is also a slippery shuffle between structure and surrender. I'd be lying if I told you that this isn't a difficult dance!
🧑‍🩰
There are moments all throughout these gatherings when someone adds something to the painting that causes me to tense up deep down! Some part of me that yearns for control feels threatened by the unexpected, and was attached to the idea that the painting might go in another direction. But time after time after time, what my mind initially labels as mistakes become happy little accidents that open up potent portals of possibility. Oftentimes, someone will plant a seed or a sketch that hours or even days later will evolve at the hands of someone else. Seeing this pattern play out repeatedly really helps me loosen my grip on whatever pesky thoughts come up along the way.
💆
This is where the children are the true gurus in these sessions. They are excited, unafraid, confident, and quirky with a paintbrush in their hands. They have some of the wackiest ideas and also just want to have fun! I speak to so many adults who are unsure of what to paint, are convinced they're not artistic, and frozen by fear that they'll mess things up....meanwhile the kids will just step up to the plate and slap some paint any which place they like.
🤸
Finding the balance between allowing all expression while also encouraging attunement to the marks that have already been made is where the real magic happens. This piece taught me quite a bit about balancing elder discernment with youthful boldness, and I'm honored to have continued opportunities to practice this craft of collective co-creation.

You all really are my tribe! @harmonicearthgathering you continue to amaze me with the love, gratitude, and connection I feel for you all!

I attended last year in 2025, and had the opportunity to bring Milkweed Medicine to Harmonic Earth and Stonehege for the first time, as part of the healers village. The connections made that weekend led to deep collaborations throughout the year with both the Land @stonehedgegardens, with Tom, and also so many others in the community.

I’m beyond grateful to have been invited into the organizing team this year for 2026, and it felt soul good to be in this co-creation.

Deep thanks for the honor and privilege to be a part of this creation and a huge Thank You to each of you, who shared your heart, art, music, dance, grief, gratitude and gift of service, it really does take a village. Love love❤️🧚‍♂️🌳🌈🌏🌧️

making a community mural over three nights & four days of a healing arts festival, while also camping, connecting, parenting, dancing, sound bathing, and sometimes sleeping, is a bit of a blur...full of so many deliciously unique moments and yet also over in a few blinks of an eye...thanks to all who made this year's Harmonic Earth so special and for all who've shown love to this design 🦁❤️‍🔥
