🚨 OKAY… WE GOT EXCITED. 😂 🚨
(not just about this amazing 10 gauge tragus)

Yesterday, we told you it was the LAST NIGHT to vote.

Plot twist: We jumped the gun. 🤦‍♂️😂

Apparently, our excitement got the best of us because TONIGHT is actually the FINAL NIGHT to vote! 🗳️

So if you haven’t voted yet — or if you’re one of our amazing supporters who has been voting every day — tonight is your last chance to show your support for Elegance Piercing & Tattoo! ❤️

These awards mean so much to us because they aren’t about buying a plaque or simply being nominated. They’re about the votes, support, and trust of the people who walk through our doors.

We’re incredibly grateful for every vote, every appointment, every referral, every tag, and every person who has supported us since we opened in 2021.

So forgive us for getting a little too excited yesterday… 😂

NOW THIS IS REALLY IT.

🗳️ FINAL NIGHT.
❤️ ONE LAST VOTE.
🏆 LET’S FINISH STRONG.

Thank you for continuing to support our team and our little piece of Worcester. We appreciate you more than you know. 🖤💚✨

Go vote one more time tonight!

From all of us at the Dirty Gerund, we invite our community to join Jorge's family, friends, and loved ones as we gather to honor and remember his life.

Jorge was family to so many of us, and we know the depth of this loss reaches far beyond any one room or group of people. As we continue to grieve the impossible reality of losing him, we hope those who loved him will come together to support his family and one another, share in his memory, and celebrate the person who meant so damn much to so many.

Calling Hour:
Friday, August 28th 3-4pm

Memorial Service: 4pm

Address: Kelly Cremation & Funeral Care.
154 Lincoln St.Worcester, MA 01605

Please join us as we stand beside Jorge’s family and surround them with the love of the many people whose lives he touched. Bring your stories, your memories, your tears, and all the love you have for him.

Jorge was deeply loved. He will continue to be deeply missed.

The Dirty Gerund is bringing the ruckus to George's Coney Island for an afternoon of original poetry, community, and creative chaos.

We'll kick off the event with an open mic welcoming poets, musicians, comedians, storytellers, and anyone with something to share. Whether you're a seasoned performer or stepping up to the microphone for the first time, everyone is welcome. Sign-ups open before the show, with limited performance spots available.

The second half of the afternoon features our Iron Poet Qualifier.

At the beginning of the qualifier, the two poets will receive a secret ingredient, revealed live by Nark. Once the ingredient is announced, competitors will head to their respective corners for the remainder of the first half of the show to write and prepare three different pieces using that ingredient.

Each poet must create:

One haiku
One completely original poem written that evening
One previously performed Dirty Gerund poem, revised to incorporate the secret ingredient in a meaningful way

When the writing time is over after the open mic completes, the poets return to the stage to perform all three pieces. It's a celebration of quick thinking, revision, creativity, and performance where audiences get to watch poets transform a single prompt into three entirely different artistic challenges.

The winner of this qualifier will earn a spot in a future Dirty Gerund Iron Poet Championship.

Expect sharp writing, unexpected laughter, heartfelt performances, and the wonderfully weird atmosphere Dirty Gerund is known for. Whether you're taking the mic or cheering from the crowd, you'll be part of an afternoon where anything can happen!

Summer Ruckus is upon us!

First Tuesdays: in collaboration with the Pleasant Street Neighborhood Network Center, the Dirty Gerund is supporting an all ages sober open mic series that will kick off July 7, and if it goes well, return August 4! Join us for a Pleasant Poetry Reading from 7 to 9 PM in their community space on Pleasant Street.

Saturday July 25 at 230 PM, join us in the main Worcester Public library Banx room for an afternoon of poetry. Bring printed copies of your poems ready to share and workshop as a group!

Sunday August 9 at 330 PM, join us at George’s Coney Island for an all ages open mic followed by the glorious return of the Iron Poet round 1 qualifier! Sign up for the iron poet with Nark ASAP.

Keep an eye on our social media for any updates, (if there are any last minute Nark will typically share to our instagram story and many of our regulars will repost to get the word around), and feel free to drop questions in the comments.

Note These events will NOT take place on Mondays. Our regular weekly show is 21+ both inside and outside. Please do not come to Ralph’s for poetry night until you are of age and have a valid ID for the door. The door staff rotates and they will walk across the patio to check your ID, even if you’ve been a dozen times before. Please don’t get us in trouble by trying to sneak in, and join us at an all ages event elsewhere until you are of age.
