10, 9, 8… WELCOME TO THE JIMMY AWARDS!!!

Trying to post about my time at the Jimmy Awards has been challenging, as it has been hard to put the best two weeks of my life into words. I am truly beyond grateful to have met so many incredible performers, friends, directors, educators, and industry professionals. I feel like I have learned so much in such a short period of time. I am forever grateful to everyone on the @jimmyawards team for helping me connect to myself, grow my passion, and discover a new family and community.

To my fellow nominees, I love each and every one of you so much. I am honored to have been able to be in the room with you. The amount of talent was absurd, you guys are phenomenal. Everyone was so supportive and genuine, even when it could have been so easy to focus on the competition aspect. I can’t wait to watch you all go on to do incredible things.

Finally, my community. Thank you for believing in me. Whether you were watching live online, in person, or after the fact, I felt all the love. This process unveiled to me how many people I had in my life who were rooting for me. I oftentimes felt an overwhelming sense of peace knowing that so many people were cheering me on. Thank you @broadwaydallashsmta for constantly providing Towdah and I with everything we could possibly need, and more. Thank you @sydnie_roy and @abret27 for being the best chaperone and RAP directors I know. Thank you Tina, Tabi, and Keli for seeing potential in me, and pouring into me. And lastly, thank you to my family for always being my #1s and supporting my crazy aspirations. I love you guys so much.

There are so many more people I want to thank (and tag), but know that I couldn’t be more grateful for the impact you have had on me.

In all seriousness, the gift of being a 2026 Jimmy nominee was a life changing one. These ten days brought back the spark in my heart for theatre that I didn’t know I had lost. It brought me to the most talented, kind, and incredible group of people in the world and gave me friendships I will never forget. It pushed me as an artist and performer in ways I didn’t know were possible. I am infinitely and eternally grateful for this blessing. THANK YOU JIMMY’S 🫶🫶

I seriously couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity. From the connections I’ve made, the friends I’ve met, and the experiences had, this has been one of the best experiences of my life. We’re thrilled to announce the Jimmy Awards Nominees for the State of Massachusetts. Nathan Daniels (Leominster High School) and Carolina Sanchez (Lawrence High School) will represent MA at the 2026 Jimmy Awards on Monday, June 22, at the Minskoff Theatre in New York City!
