The volleyball IQ was on full display at the @the4eyestournament 🏐📚

How many of these questions would you have gotten right? 👀

This Pro Volleyball Athlete came in dealing with persistent knee pain and low back pain 🏐

The knee was what he noticed most.

But the knee wasn’t the whole story.

Pain during jumps.
Discomfort on landings.
Back tightness & knee pain after practices.
A body working harder than it should to keep up with the demands of elite competition.

At the professional level, athletes are asking their bodies to absorb and produce force thousands of times every week.

Eventually, if one area isn’t doing its job efficiently, another area picks up the slack.

In his case, we found:

⚡ Patellar tendon overload from repetitive jumping and explosive movements

⚡ Reduced force absorption through the lower body during landing mechanics

⚡ Increased stress through the lumbar spine during acceleration and deceleration

⚡ Movement compensations that were allowing performance—but creating wear and tear

The body is incredibly good at finding ways to keep performing.

The problem is that compensation always comes with a cost.

At ARC, we look beyond the symptoms and identify why the tissue is being overloaded in the first place.

His treatment plan focused on:

🔋 Improving tendon capacity and resilience at the knee

🔋 Optimizing landing mechanics to better absorb force

🔋 Building strength and stability through the hips and core

🔋 Reducing unnecessary stress on the lumbar spine

🔋 Restoring efficient movement patterns for jumping, cutting, and competition

Because for athletes, success isn’t just about getting out of pain.

It’s about creating a body that can tolerate the demands of training, recover efficiently, and perform when it matters most.

That’s what we do at ARC.

Helping athletes move better, perform better, and stay in the game longer. 💪🏼🏐

Learned a lot on this little side project/artistic experiment. Taking everything I’ve learned and trying to cram it all together into one cohesive idea. I got some advice from an artist in Denver about how I should make my own canvas and to not lean on painting 3D panels. In many ways she’s right, but I live for creative hurdles and the I’ve always thought some of the best art comes from limitation. So thanks for the inspiration and feedback, already changed my approach on pushing boundaries and my finding the line. Huge shout out to @mr_nehls for the chance to give his volleyball office a nice splash of LBCC Viking red🩸🔥 Never thought this would be my pathway to getting something on the wall at the hall of champions. Won an NVA championship in this place and now my art hangs gracefully in it’s beautiful gymnasium. Weird full circle. #3dart #oc #artist #questioneverything #customart

It’s a wonder I get anything done. Pretty much all paintings are done under the strictest disco settings, where funk and persistence are key to the creative process🔥🥷 Volcano paintings available now for commission #3dart #custom #fluidartwork #dontpanic #questioneverything
