POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Back in May, @chriscarrhenry and I spent 3 weeks driving across the states. We were heading over for Chrisโ€™ auntโ€™s wedding in North Carolina and thought weโ€™d make a trip of it โ€“ starting in New York City and ending in San Francisco.

By the end weโ€™d covered 18 states plus DC. Some days we were driving 7+ hours, going between major cities and small towns, across deserts, along highways and interstates, parts of Route 66 and back-roads. We plotted the route to see as much of the country and as many of our pals and family along the way as we could, and we even had some of them join us for parts of it which was ace.

Itโ€™s hard to even comprehend the amount of ground we covered, the contrast of the cultures and landscapes of the places we visited, and the mad and magic people we met and shared experiences with. The whole trip blew my mind.

Itโ€™s been a mad busy few months since getting back, and only today have I had the chance to properly look through the hundreds of photos we took and reflect on it all with a bit of distance.

Itโ€™s funny when looking back at photos how stories and experiences come to life again. This trip had many, some so bizarre they donโ€™t even seem real. If you havenโ€™t already heard them then remind me to tell you next time I see you over a pint, phaha.

Hereโ€™s some highlightsโ€ฆ

Main route (via multiple places in betweenโ€ฆ): NYC > Washington DC > North Carolina > South Carolina > Nashville > Memphis > Oklahoma City > Santa Fe > Flagstaff > Las Vegas > LA > Sacramento > San Francisco

2025 was, without question, my busiest and most successful year. i spent almost every single month absolutely grinding on something. not a single dull moment, ever, this year. i was able to check some things off of the bucket list, played to the biggest crowds iโ€™ve ever played to, in the U.S. and overseas alike. i was a part of 6 recordings this year, spent March, May-June, and August on tour, played a variety of shows at home and in neighboring states for a variety of groups. i am so fortunate to continue to do this, to expand, and to immortalize myself within this music that we all love.

i am so thankful for my friends and those who lift me up, as this was a massive year for self improvement and growth. i was so unwell one year ago. looking back on that, in retrospect, i would not believe where i am today. it is with the support of all of you that this is possible and i am forever grateful. you all made this year a fuck ton of highs, just about no lows.

2026 is shaping up to be the biggest year ever, already. much under the hood, much to be announced, only time will truly tell what is in store. i am so excited to continue this trajectory and see where it takes me and those who i share this with.

*** all of the groups i worked with this year: @footballheadchi, @meth.band, @lowanimalband, @julia_is_alive, @blacknail.band, @chrisciband, @latter.band, @if.we.wait and @snowellet

shouts out @emptybliss666 and Blackwood Drums, as well ๐Ÿ™‚

see you next time
