What an absolute privilege to be the lead photographer for this years’ @ukbbshow Top 25 Entrepreneur List! I have followed the list over the years and never dreamed of being the person to photograph the UK’s black trailblazers! This is my final photoshoot of 2026 as I take my maternity leave, and this is definitely the highlight of my photography year! Firstly I want to thank my incredible Studio Manager @_lerika_valerika_ for supporting me when my feet were swollen and assisting to set up the lighting and backdrop, as well as photographing a few of the amazing people listed. If you’ve been to @manyrooms_studios you know that she is so helpful and genuinely such a talented photographer! This is a full circle moment as a few people I photographed are people I used to be a runner for on production sets and also to my dear @byayokunu who taught me about photography in my early days and supported my career. I’m deeply passionate about capturing people in their true beauty and highlighting at least one thing that makes them unique. Same background and setting but totally different skin tones, body types, heights etc. All of which are BEAUTIFUL and deserving of being shown in the best light. Hewlett Room is full of light so didn’t need any flash, I prefer this to capture the true essence of skin tones. Very impromptu but we ended up using the new backdrop and chairs for mini interviews - such a delight to see all the incredible people on the list feel so comfortable in the space. @raphaelsofoluke you are doing incredible and revolutionary work, I’m praying The Lord takes you to greater heights! - All shot in Hewlett Room @manyrooms_studios

Last night @ngoni had a party in honor of her brand @wearekin.co. You should check them out. I don’t know if you’ve noticed this (especially of you’re new round here) but I really try my hardest to highlight ethical brands where anyone can get their size in their clothes. That’s really it. Oh and if they’re from the global South or run by a women of color that’s also so important. The most exciting thing about an ethical fashion landscape is that most small brands I’m coming across are looking at size inclusivity differently and I’ve seen this happen over the course of a few years. Which means others can (and should) definitely do if too! It was a beautiful gathering of friends both old and new and lots of good chat about everything from whether everyone actually likes Birkins or whether folks like what having a Birkin tells the world about you. But if I’m grateful for anything, anything at all, I finally met Auntie Paula (@hillhousevintage) and you can see the joy in my face here. She is wonderful. This featured AD products as the dinner was for a brand and I’m wearing a gifted @the_mie dress here because my @wearekin.co dress is being altered and I knew Ngoni wouldn’t mind me repping another Black ethical brand in that way. I can’t wait to show you my We Are Kin dress. It’s really special ♥️ Ngoni’s Mum was definitely such a joy to meet (and stole the show, sorry Ngoni love you). I laughed a lot and really enjoyed myself. Thank you Ngoni and also thanks to the drink sponsor @lillet. I now know I’ve been saying it right 😂
