Diolch o galon Caerdydd / Thank you so much Cardiff 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 You showed this city does have an appetite for leftfield electronic music and audio-visual delights. Thank you to the @thecanopicardiff for hosting us, the staff and security are all lush and we love this space and appreaciate them allowing us to bring this AV weirdness on a Saturday night! Thank you to our headliner @mayswoonisevul for an energetic punky performance and @lauraphillips86 for creating brand new visuals especially for the set! It was epic… thank you to @obrasendub for stepping in with a few hours notice and saving the day with his trolley of synths! @efasupertramp enjoyed VJing to this set (her second time ever VJing!), and Crux founders @forcemajeureaudio (aka @nick.ronin) & @amousement both smashed out dark and heavy AV sets! Give the artists a follow and support their work 👆🏻🎹🔊 We are really energised by last night and hope to organise more similar events soon. It was great to meet and connect with so many new faces and artists who are working in this realm. ✨ Thanks again to everyone who helped make it a success ✨ DIY electronic weirdos forever x 🎵 Track is Force Majeure - Homing Beacon, off the EP ‘Unexploded Device’ on @grey_meta

In the final session of the VJ course, @nick.ronin talked about progression routes and putting what we had learned into practice. A few months later, I was VJing for Koarse at the amazing Spectrum 360 stage at Boomtown 2026. Incredible experience for me. Keep learning. Keep making. Keep putting yourself forward. You genuinely never know where it might lead. #VJing #CreativeJourney #LiveVisuals #Boomtown2026 #KeepCreating

CARDIFF LINEUP ANNOUNCEMENT: FORCE MAJEURE @forcemajeureaudio Force Majeure is the experimental alias of Cardiff-based Nick Ronin, a veteran of the UK DIY rave scene. A long-time producer and performer across aliases including Killdren, Villain and Ronin, Nick’s Force Majeure project dives into the abstract side of club sonics: exploratory and unpredictable. His last release Unexploded Device (on Grey Meta) is a volatile fusion of off-kilter techno, granular field recordings, and hardware-driven intensity. Here he will present a version of his audiovisual show that also incorporates more downtempo works from his two albums. https://linktr.ee/forcemajeure Event on Sat 26 September in Cardiff @thecanopicardiff – close to the city centre and central train station. Cheaper advance tickets are on sale, though you can pay cash/card on the door too. For more details check links in bio! Next week! Learn the art of live visuals with Resolume. I took this workshop last year and genuinely loved it. I even brought my own MIDI keyboard along and was able to map controls to create live, reactive visuals. It's a really fun way to work with video. Whether you're interested in live events, projection mapping, music visuals or immersive experiences, this two-day workshop will take you from the basics to building your own real-time visual performance using Resolume. The workshop will be delivered by Nick Feldman, an experienced lecturer, course developer, course leader, and mentor with a strong track record in contemporary music education. @nick.ronin 📅 10 & 11 August 🕥 10:30am to 5:00pm 📍 CULTVR Lab, Cardiff No previous experience is needed. Just bring your laptop with the free Resolume trial installed and, if you have one, a MIDI controller too. Spaces are limited, so book now if you'd like to join us!

Have you checked out our newest release Mehefin Braf (sunny June) yet? ☀️ The video was filmed over two sunrises and a sunset on some south wales beaches during the midsummer daze! As this teaser shows you, this song is a bit haunted and dubby, with our friend Geigerzähler from Berlin’s striking violin sounds. One-take loose vocals by @efasupertramp and a few bars of welsh-language rap from @izrabes! And production as always by @nick.ronin (who also filmed and edited the video!) Link in bio for the full video - and you can buy the track for pay what you want on @bandcamp 🎧 “Ti fel mis Mehefin braf, cof pell yw teimlad y gaeaf”
