The most wonderful of blessings is awesome people ❤️ So thankful for this group of friends who celebrate and go on adventures with us (even if there's a massive wildfire on the neighboring mountain).
With gifts and friends and the very best husband, I am spoiled. ☺️
33 is looking sweet.

Day 4 of ??? of the big van build.

In this episode we tackled some of the scariest projects, including cutting a big hole in the top of the van for the vent fan and then screwing solar panels into the roof (circa 2022).

Tune in tomorrow for another major upgrade we made to the interior!

Thanks for following along on this crazy journey, everyone!

“I too am a brief and passing thing. Never halting, day and night, my life is passing, passing by – and all that has passed shall not be seen again – and what but death shall be my destiny?”

Shantideva

I had the distinct pleasure of tattooing this really meaningful bit of poetry on somebody I have been friends with online for many many years. It was great seeing you today, my friend. Check @nickbonestattoos . Ridiculously nice guy on the road with his partner and their cat. I occasionally get to meet people I’ve known online for quite some time and I think he might be actually the nicest. Hahaha.

Day 2 of ??? of me building out my camper van. My son and I did the sub floor (circa summer of 2019).

This was a learning experience for sure. I had a few ideas for how to affix the subfloor to the van, and at the end of the day I decided this was the best plan, as it didn’t require me to drill through the van a million times- which I swear is the scariest thing ever.

And some good news (seeing as it’s a million years later now): I can report back that not a single issue has come from using this method 👍🏾

Basically right after this project I took a two year hiatus on doing anything to the van; Covid = building supplies being too expensive, coupled with some MASSIVE (great) life changes.. But I did eventually get back on it and finish!

Thanks so much for following along. See you tomorrow for the insulation fiasco of 2021! 🤣🤣

Day 1 of ??? Of the camper van buildout.

Starting these videos from the very beginning and I’m committing to post one every day until I’m caught up. There is so much footage of myself, my wife, my kid, and my friends all working on the van that I’ve never done anything with.

I’m excited to see how many days of work it actually took.

I bought the van in 2019 and worked on it off and on for the last 7 years. Finally moving in full time in July of 2026!

Check back tomorrow to see the second session on the build!

Shoutout to @heeno_tattooer! I absolutely love my tattoo of @catventurers

Step one: living in a van down by a stream… we will upgrade to a river when the time is right. 😉
