Abandoned devices, new roles.
Ovens showing only the time. Smart speakers that went quiet.

TVs that sit dark. Last semester we asked what genuine meaning could look like for abandoned household devices in shared spaces. This summer, we continue.

It’s been a little over two years since Christophe asked me to collaborate on some material he was working on, a handful of songs born from collaborations with different musicians, an experiment which soon after became the engine to write a new album.
I had the honor and privilege of contributing to a couple of tracks, and it was exciting to work on them remotely and in four hands.

At the end of 2024 the album was ready and in January I offered Christophe to come to my studio to mix it.
It was 5 days of hard work but also of professional and personal confrontation on the work we were doing, on music, on the world in which we live, with moments made of small breaks, strolling on the hills around Reggio Emilia and finally also on food! Of course we were in Italy... : )

"Everything that is not counted will be lost" was released at the end of last June, preceded by a couple of singles, an album that besides me, has seen collaborations with musicians such as Sturm, Johannes Schardt, Landobe and Patrick Siegfried Zimmer, some of them are old stage and label mates, others are new discoveries.

The album was released for the reborn 2nd Rec in Hamburg, the label that supported my first release "Flowing Seasons" and many works by Giardini di Mirò, and is packaged with a beautiful and well-curated transparent pink vinyl artwork.
8 tracks make up the vinyl tracklist and 10 for the digital version.

A beautiful work that deserves to be heard because of its sometimes intimate, sometimes dark and sometimes sunny nature...

Like an autumn day in the city of Hamburg!

Plattenkritik: Nitrada – Everything That
Is Not Counted Will be Lost

Dass Stoll jedoch 21 Jahre nach „We Don't Know Why But We Do It“ tatsächlich ein neues, drittes Album vorlegt, ist dann doch eine Überraschung.
