GALLERY TALK: Narong Tintamusik with Vivian Li

A few moments from my recent gallery talk with Dr. Vivian Li (@floatingcomma), Lupe Murchison Curator of Contemporary Art at the Dallas Museum of Art. The talk was held at the Nasher Sculpture Center on August 29, 2026.

I’m so grateful to Vivian for such a thoughtful conversation. It was extra special to share this talk with her because she has seen my development over the years. We had a wonderful time discussing my broader practice and the installation at the Nasher, from my early days in environmental science to my upbringing eating heartwarming meals made by my mother, a professional chef. It was beautiful to share some of the material and cultural research that goes into the installation, as well as the sound collaboration with Saun Santipreecha (@santipreechasaun) on his exhibition score.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to the Nasher team for creating space for this exchange as the exhibition enters its final week. Special thanks to Sydney Smith (@sydneypbsmith) for curating the exhibition and making the show the best it could be, and to Saun Santipreecha (@santipreechasaun) for sharing such a stunning score with us and bringing the space to life.

Many thanks to Mario Zie (@mariozie) for beautifully capturing these moments from the talk!

Every Labor Day for the last five years we de-install our show and we re-set Onna House with pieces from our permanent collection. Even though we’re not open regular hours in the off season we want the house to look perfect for any surprise guests or art and architecture groups who want to visit.

We love the pieces we’ve acquired over the years and it always makes us happy when they return. This Mitsuko Asakura was the first piece we bought for the gallery. We opened Onna House with a whole exhibition of her work which I was introduced to by my friend @fabiennestephan from @salon94. It was a gorgeous show and Mitsuko arrived in full Kimono dress. I love her work so much. Today she is represented by @salon94 and great collectors have these mesmerizingly beautiful textile pieces in their homes.

Thank you again to our community of artists and collectors who help Onna House thrive.
Hope to see you all this fall at Onna House SoHo and stayed tuned for news of an exciting exhibition coming to SoHo mid October.
Grateful and with love

Yesterday was the opening for our new show
PLAY & Wander through Whimsy
It was pouring rain but it didn’t stop people from coming and enjoying art and cake and tea sammies and fun..

it’s hard for me to believe it’s our fifth season at Onna House East Hampton. Every show I say, this can’t be better than the last one, but i’m actually not surprised each show gets better because of the enormous talent of artists all over the world.
Yes we focus on women yes we focus on craft most of the time we select artists who are closer to home but the inspiration for us is endless.
So we will keep bringing you new exciting beautiful art from near and far and hopefully you will keep coming and and cheering us on because you help Onna House and the artists thrive and that means everything to us.

So thank you once again for supporting our mission to help give women artists the platform and support they need to continue their gorgeous work..

And Special thanks to @sorate.co for the delicious matcha and tea

Hope to see you all this summer!
With love and gratitude
