Someone asked me why I took the time to say what I said and it’s simple I’ve been in the Army for 14 years and counting and all to often I’m opening social media and seeing someone create a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

I’m no one famous nor do I have a large platform but if this video reaches one person that’s enough for me

Seek help don’t be ashamed or scared. There’s no issue to big or to small that can’t be solved

Playoff match against the Lions and was the 1st female and 2nd player ever to perform the pullover this way on the Grid. What better way to do it than alongside the OG @smeric17 🤩

Pretty cool SKILL if you ask me 😝

How many you got??👀

The ladder is one for my favorite races from @unitedgridleague - I get to move heavy weights fast for the @nywolveshq, what could be more fun than that

A season of firsts.
.
First @unitedgridleague season as a coach
First season for the @nywolveshq
First rookie expansion team to make it to playoffs
First team to have a player ejected from the Grid 🤣
First match to have both teams not finish the Sprint Relay 😅
.
Some firsts are better than others. And I could also go off to list the individual firsts of each and every athlete on this team. (Like HELLO - so many people stepped up and learned new skills they didn’t think possible!)
.
Did we want to take it all? Absolutely. Who doesn’t?
But what was more important to me was the learning we all did along the way.
.
I was elected Coach of the Year - but I feel like my growth has only just begun. I’m learning and growing with every chance I get and every chance this team will give me.
.
I’ll admit, I started with false confidence, putting on a brash air that I knew it all and could handle it myself. But in reality, I was insecure. I was trying to “prove myself” when I really didn’t have to. There’s a difference between demanding and commanding a team. I learned that quickly after our first match and continued to keep myself in check with the help of my captains, @mrosa516 and @karaceleste. To say I couldn’t have done it without them is an understatement.
.
And holy hell, thank you to @jennpowers_wolf for supporting me and the team. She may be behind the scenes most of the time, but she has supported everyone in ways that we’ll never fully understand. She made sure our heads were in the game and we could focus on what truly mattered - the pack and the match at hand.
.
So I’m proud of what we accomplished, but I know that there is so much more to be done. I’m going to keep growing. I know this family we’ve created will keep growing. And we look forward to taking that trophy next year 😜

And that’s a wrap on OUR rookie season! 💙

What a way to finish it out! Making it to playoffs as rookies, having multiple teammates receive awards AND our coach receiving coach of the year. WOW. 😮‍💨

Forever grateful for this opportunity to meet some of the most amazing humans that are now family to me.

Being recognized on the Eastern Conference All-Star Team was not something I expected but am so appreciative of. Congratulations to everyone else who received their awards in their respective categories!

Can’t wait to see what the future holds for me in Grid. I think I maybe found the thing I enjoy most so I may just be back for more 😉

I set a personal goal of finishing each ladder this season… Well, mission accomplished! 😎

Needless to say, a lot of practice went into the execution of these races, making the result very rewarding.

Understanding the Ladder race:

Teams of 10 active players have 4 minutes to alternate men and women and accumulate as many points as possible, meaning the average time per athlete needs to be about 25 seconds. (Some slower, some faster)

The first bar is worth one point, the second is worth 2 points, the third is worth 3 points, and the final bar is worth 4 points.

Training for this is more complicated than simply being able to hit a lift… The clock plays a huge factor in planning which athletes have the time and ability hit specific bars.

Prior to the race, the coach will have a determined order and based on practice data, athletes will have their barbell assignments.

My races this season:

(Shown) Push Press Ladder against the Lions on October 4th
-Weight: 225, 250, 275, 300

2 Deadlift + 1 Clean Ladder against the Wild on August 29th
-Weight: 250, 275, 300, 325

Clean and Jerk Ladder against the Venom on August 9th
-Weight: 225, 250, 275, 300

Snatch Ladder against the Flight on August 8th
-Weight: 195, 215, 235, 255

Snatch + Hang Snatch against the Brigade on June 20th
-Weight: 195, 215, 235, 255

Over the past decade, I found my passion. That journey was about reclaiming my health (not my size) I was sick Mind body and Spirit.

For me, I had to lose to win. It’s a ongoing process of evolving. But one thing for sure. I’m so proud of the pack beside me near and far. (Next slide)

This is where one decision can change things. I witnessed a Birth of a pack. While I know many are still upset for not making the champs (for our rookie season mind you). I really am not disappointed one bit. We earned our spot and we are here. The pack is born.

This goes to show you the GRIT each athlete and leader has. I know for sure we will get the champs next year.

I look forward to next chapter 🐾🐾🐾
