We’ve come so far…

1 year ago on the dot, I uprooted my life in Seattle and moved to San Diego to chase the Mondioring dream. I had a dog with potential, and an invite from an internationally competitive team to move down, an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up. Boy, was that by far the best decision I’ve ever made. Since then, Archie not only got his Level 2 title, but got record breaking club scores, became the 2024 USMRA Lv2 Champion, and also became the FCI Lv2 World Champion. Along with recently becoming 2x Mondioring 3. What a fucking year it’s been!

Before this, I was just a kid training his dog in his backyard with a dream of getting a Mondioring title on him one day. My expectations of Archie have beyond been exceeded, as this was not something I could’ve ever imagined a couple of years ago. He is truly my soul dog, and I am so proud of how far we’ve come, and excited for our rookie season at Level 3 this year, we have SO MUCH to learn!

Archie and I are so lucky to be apart of @osidemondio, the club that has become my community, including some of the best friends and training partners I’ve ever had. A group of like minded people like this is hard to come by, and I am so grateful to be involved and connected with all of these people and dogs. HUGE congratulations to all of our club members and friends who completed in the Synergy Ringsport Club “New Year” trial, you all did so fantastic and it was heartwarming to see all of the brilliant teamwork at this event. ❤️

Thank you as well to @annarose_videography for the videos, they are incredible!

Even after decades of training—earning my Master Dog Trainer and Behaviorist foundation(NK9) in 2002, specializing in remote collar system(No Limitations)in 2004 and 2005(That'sMyDog), and pursuing progressive practices like Canine Kinaesthetics(Maryna Ozuna) in 2006—I am often asked why I still learn from trainers like @JaclynDagampat , who entered the industry in 2016.
The answer is clear: growth never stops. True mastery isn’t about how long you’ve been in the field, but how willing you are to refine your craft and embrace new perspectives.

Jaclyn has proven her ability not only as a NePoPo® Gold Multiplicator but also through performance in the demanding world of dog sports, achieving MR1 – High Obedience with her dog Encore at the USMRA Nationals. Her recent course, Level Up Your Leash, which I completed, reinforced for me that mastery is never static—it evolves with every new challenge, every new voice, every new lesson. Choosing to learn from her wasn’t about hierarchy; it was about respecting achievement, valuing innovation, and recognizing that humility is the real hallmark of professionalism.

The dog training industry doesn’t advance by clinging to ego—it thrives when experience and fresh innovation walk side by side.

Attending an IACP Conference isn’t just about learning — it’s also about the incredible networking opportunities! Reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new ones is what makes this event so special and keeps our community growing.

Jaclyn Dagampat, Education Committee Chair, chats with IACP Member Traci Swearer about her conference experience and membership.

Got to do some touristy stuff yesterday in my own city with new friends I made at IACP. (@canineprofessionals Conference) I love that this organization connects people from all over the world and we get to not only see each other at conference, but we make a point to get together when we are near each other.

This past week was the annual IACP (International Association of Canine Professionals) educational conference in Savannah, GA. I got to meet up old friends, meet some new ones and make more connections with other like minded professionals that have been doing this a lot longer than me. If you are in the dog training industry and need a community, somewhere to engage in conversation, make lasting friendships, get a fire lit under your @ss and learn from some of the best trainers around the world. I can’t recommend this conference enough. Next year it’s on the west coast in Newport Beach, CA. Keynote speakers are Michael Ellis and Denise Fenzi! Hold onto your hats friends!!!! #dogs #dogtraining #IACP #puppy #puppytraining #allarewelcome #communityovercult

I’m back in LA from a week at the @canineprofessionals dog training conference and I’m on a high I don’t want to come down from 🤩

I’ll make a longer video later but here are some general highlights:

✨All of the relationships/friendships I made. Special thanks to @kanine_freedom for introducing me to @traci.swearer, @jaclyndagampat, @heatherbeck.k9 and so many more! Kevin’s the belle of the ball and was a huge part of making my first IACP such a success 🫶🏼

✨My rolled BioThane slip leads are now in the hands of @trainlikeivan, @robertcabral (thanks to Kevin for those two 😆), and Dr. Stewart Hilliard, as well as so many of my new friends! I actually sold out of my 7 ft slip leads, a lesson learned for next year 😄

✨Hosting @xjayjackx13, @michaelshikashio, and @kanine_freedom at my booth throughout the week for IG Live chats, something that I made happen just by shooting my shot 😉

✨Feeling so at home with “my people” - scrappy dog trainers who nerd out over all things dog training. It legit just felt like summer camp for dog trainers, and hanging out after hours was just as fun/fruitful as hanging out during the conference. Also, the level of access you get to such high-level trainers who them stay up till 2am with you playing nerdy shaping games (shoutout @dogwise.books for the PORTL game) absolutely blew my mind.

Time to get started on your leash orders! 🙌🏼

Thank you to the entire @canineprofessionals team, @dogdaddyfabian’s team, and everyone else who made this conference possible! See you in my home state next year!🌴🌊

Special thanks to @josephpennerart for coming with me and supporting me this entire week even with a broken foot 🥺 I couldn’t have done it without you ♥️

Savannah Spirits & Southern Shadows 🌕👻
Dog Trainers: Unite… and beware. 🐾💀

After an incredible day at the IACP conference here in Savannah, Georgia, a group of us dog trainers swapped leashes for lanterns and hit the streets for a haunted walking tour—and it was an absolute vibe. 😱🕯️

We wandered along uneven cobblestone streets, past moss-draped oaks and buildings steeped in centuries of scary history. Our guide (Dylan), delivered all the eerie details—haunted cemeteries, restless spirits, and maybe the creepiest fact of the night: some of the dips in the sidewalks are from landslides into grave sites. 😬 Let that one SINK in. 💀⚰️

One of the most chilling stops? The Marshall House—a gorgeous hotel that once served as a hospital. These days it’s known for flickering lights, ghostly limb encounters, and phantom children shenanigans. It’s stunning… and totally unsettling.

It was such a fun way for us trainers to connect, share laughs, and step outside of our usual work mode—though let’s be honest, our trainer brains were still analyzing those energy shifts the whole time. Kinda like a pack walk… just with ghosts.👻

Highly recommend if you’re in Savannah—and if you’re brave, book room 414. 👀

❤️‍🔥 This journey has been nothing short of wild, humbling, and deeply fulfilling. Competing at the Mondioring National Championship hosted by @westpennringclub was an unforgettable milestone, and sharing the field with Z on his birthday made it all the more special.

None of this would’ve been possible without the relentless support and vision of @zack_kiser and the entire @osidemondio crew. Zack’s dedication, mentorship, and tireless work behind the scenes shaped every step that led us here. I absolutely love this team!

Onto the next one, y’all 🥂
