Our first anniversary is coming up next month, and marriage has taught us so much about what love and unity really mean. Not the picture-perfect version, but the kind that requires grace, patience, communication, accountability, and choosing each other even on the hard days.

This year has reminded us that love is more than a feeling , it’s a commitment. A commitment to grow, to learn, to extend understanding, and to keep showing up for one another. Through every lesson, challenge, and blessing, we’ve continued to choose each other over and over again.

As we step into another year, we’re committed to the work, committed to our growth, and committed to building a life rooted in love, partnership, and purpose. Here’s to one year down and a lifetime of choosing us. 🤍

Let us influence you to save your coins and spend your moments. Your next date doesn’t need a reservation. It needs a fire and a little intention✨

We traded the restaurant bill for bare feet in the grass and a fire under the trees. 🌿🔥Chicken, rice, and spinach …simple, nourishing, ours. The breeze was the background music. And the best part ? We didn’t tip for any of it.

Date night doesn’t have to cost $100. We love proving that for the lovers , because even though social media makes it look like a thriving marriage means adding another bill to your life, it really can be so simple. A bite to eat. A sunset at the airport on a random Tuesday. Real romance requires creativity, not cash. Well… it always costs something but you know what we mean. 🧡✈️ #datenight #thingstodoincharlotte #marriage #marriedlife #blackmarriage
