Hico Series Part 2

The salmon on the eggs Benedict was THICCC and stacked high. We loved dinner so much we came back for breakfast. The biscuits were the best I’ve ever had, they were so soft and flaky. The apple butter was incredible.

The scallop and shrimp eggs Benedict was SO GOOD. and the chicken and waffles came with the delicious butter too, can hardly see the chicken under all that sweet butter.

Hico Series Part 1

This farm-to-table is so insanely good. The pimento cheese (from the cheese farm we visited) with the honey was so incredible I cannot even explain it well enough. The fried green tomatoes were also delicious. I got the carbonara, and the pork bacon in it was the best part.

We shared the banana pudding (it was WARM🤌🏻) and olive oil cake.

We are returning for breakfast for their famous biscuits:)

Kicked off my birthday month while in Bakersfield a couple a weeks ago with @blondieloves4 and @leighannmilazzo. Last week Arlyn treated me at the movies. We enjoyed popcorn and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (highly recommend seeing if you haven’t). The spoiling continued today with a trip to HICO with some of the amazing ladies I prayed God would bring into my life when we moved to Texas. They took me for a yummy lunch to @omaleens, gifts, and shopping at all the cute stores decked out for Christmas around town. I am blessed beyond measure by their friendships. Not sure why birthday months weren’t a thing when I was young, but I sure do enjoy them as an adult! 🤣

10/10 weekend. We stayed at a boutique hotel, @thehenryhico — where every room is a work of art! Only 88 miles from Dallas.

It is a commercial building converted into 6 uniquely themed hotel rooms. A different vibe in each room! The first floor is @omaleens restaurant — a husband & wife duo. Don’t skip on this place. I’d drive 88 miles just to eat the homemade biscuits!

@lm_artndesign you are the most kick ass designer. Forever proud of you. Thank you for sharing the weekend and your beautiful space with us ❤️🥳
