Can you build a billion-dollar company without compromising your values?

Photography 📸 by @arbassa

Standing room only at @techforpalestine's #SFTechWeek fireside chat with @rami.elghandour (CEO, Arcellx, $7.8Bn Exit) as he shared his experiences speaking out against injustice in America as well as the genocide in Palestine, while building a multibillion-dollar company.

A powerful conversation on courage, leadership, and the cost of speaking up in tech.

Shout-out to the @techforpalestine team (@hksyed, @otbayarea, @mshalaco, @arbassa, @autumn.aw, and so many more)

Special thanks to @cafe_zamaan for providing coffee service.

Not every sunset carries a sense of peace…
Sometimes the sun sets over a city exhausted by the days, while its people keep trying to live through another day, despite everything that has changed around them.

Gaza is beautiful even when she is weary…
And with every sunset, she reminds us that life goes on, even when it is difficult. 🇵🇸✌️

This is what our children have become... Hands amputated. Legs amputated. Childhood stolen.
This is the future forced upon them. Children who should have been carrying schoolbags are now carrying unbearable pain. They should have been running across playgrounds, yet they are learning how to live with disabilities they never chose.
What kind of future is built on the broken bodies of innocent children? What kind of world accepts that children grow up losing their limbs instead of chasing their dreams?
They do not need pity. They need justice—their right to live with dignity.

A City of Tents... and Stories of Resilience and Hope
In this scene filled with tents, we do not see mere pieces of fabric hastily assembled. We see entire lives struggling to continue despite unimaginable circumstances. Thousands of families have been forced away from their homes, carrying what remains of their memories and dreams while searching for safety in places far from the lives they once knew.

Yet, despite the harsh reality, hope remains alive. Children still try to smile, mothers continue to care for their families, and fathers work tirelessly to provide even the most basic necessities. It is a story of daily resilience, written among crowded tents, busy pathways, and faces worn by waiting and uncertainty.

This image is more than a passing moment; it is a testimony to immense human suffering and an unbreakable spirit. No matter how difficult the hardships become, hope continues to live in people's hearts, and the dream of returning to a safe home and a dignified life remains stronger than every challenge.
