We are proud to introduce A Day at Our Farm, a one-of-a-kind immersive experience at our working farm in the Cartmel Valley, which includes an informative tour of Our Farm and an alfresco feasting lunch using the very best produce grown only metres from the dining table.

With up to 16 guests per sitting, it’s a really exciting and unique opportunity to learn about our approach to regenerative farming and sustainability from Our Farm manager, John Rowland, and Our Farm head chef, Liam Fitzpatrick.

Tickets are available to purchase on their own, in groups or as part of an exclusive hire. Guests travelling from further afield can opt for our package, which includes tickets for two, a night in our bespoke rooms in Cartmel on Monday and a Home by Simon Rogan breakfast box on Tuesday morning before the farm visit.

Find out more and book via the link in bio. We can’t wait to welcome you!

With woodchip mulch in the pathways and without. Woodchip was firm under foot despite 32mm of rain today and the pathways without were total mud, and acted as small streams that washed away small amounts of the beds. Mulching is just one way to keep soil covered and has a tonne of benefits, it is a practice thats common in organic farming and organic farming is the way farming needs to go if we are to continue growing food on this planet without damaging it, yes some aspects are not perfect, but the science speaks for itself. Though we farm here -mostly- to organic standards, we aren't certified, like many others, but we are looking to begin a conversion process in the short future at @ourfarm
Definitely need to improve drainage on various parts of the farm! Storms like Ciara will only become more frequent. Many climate change effects are now locked in. .

Here come the Cabbage heads! Give it a couple more months and our overwintered spring cabbages will be ready to harvest. We’ve kept it simple with varieties, growing just two types - ‘Express’ & ‘Greyhound’, which were planted alongside two cauliflower varieties - ‘Bouquet’ & ‘All Year Round’. We’ve chosen not to experiment too much with alternative varieties this year, due to this being our first full season as a new team. Instead we are aiming to simply do better and really well, the crops which we know the restaurants want and those that we have grown previously. Although for future years… cabbage and cauliflower suggestions are welcome…

Sally and the rest of her chicken pals have been enjoying our new plantings of strawberry trees. You’ll find them foraging around the bases for worms and other tasty treats which provide them with a good supply of naturally sourced proteins. We believe that a healthy space with plenty of area to forage, equates to a healthy chicken, which in turn brings plenty of top quality eggs for the @rogan_and_co breakfast menu.
Working hard to keep our chickens happy because 👉🏻 she’s worth it! .

@ourfarm is at the heart of all of Simon’s restaurants. It is the source of a large proportion of our ingredients which dictate our menus. From farm, to table. .
