• Baby’s first book club 🩵🍼

For the month of August, we traded our usual book club night for something extra special—celebrating @mari_miranda91 and the little Bookworm who will soon be joining her family.

Our theme was “any book with the word BABY in the title,” and after drawing a name from our book bag, Mari’s pick landed on Baby Teeth by @zoje.stage_author, recommended by @aracelielisam!

And what a pick it was… 👀

Baby Teeth gave us Hanna and Suzette, a mother-daughter relationship that is anything but ordinary and SO much to unpack during our discussion. From the complicated family dynamics to the shifting perspectives and all the moments that had us questioning who we could trust, this book definitely kept us talking!

We may have been celebrating a real-life baby shower while discussing one of the most unsettling books about motherhood, but honestly… the contrast was kind perfect 😂

We’re so excited for you, Mari, and for the newest little Bookworm joining the family! We know you’re nervous entering this new era of your life but i hope you know you have so much love and support! It takes a village and you can count on us! Baby boy is already so loved and has no clue yet how many crazy bookish aunties he has already and we can’t wait to meet him!

This shower was a group collaboration and it was amazing! Even the ladies who couldn’t make it still pitched in to help and that just speaks volumes on the community we’ve built and it makes our hearts so happy! Also shout out to our decorating committee @aracelielisam & @yadi03j! We appreciate you both so much and Ari, thank you for being such a lovely host. This group of women is everything! Cheers to another month of pages, pours & sisterhood 🩵🥂✨

✨ Meet the women behind Boozy Bookwormz ✨

You’ve gotten to know the books, the meetups, the crafts, the drinks and all the chaos but now it’s time to meet the women behind it all!

What started with Jassy and a little idea in 2024 has grown into a community that’s become so much bigger than a book club. And now, Boozy Bookwormz is growing again!

Meet your admins:

⋆˙⟡♡ 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐲 — 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫
The one who started it all and somehow turned a book club idea into a whole community of bookish women, friendships, events, crafts, conversations and questionable amounts of yapping.

⋆˙⟡♡ 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 — 𝐂𝐨-𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧
Our horror-loving, dark fantasy-reading, gothic-book-obsessed girl who came along for the bookish chaos and has become such an important part of keeping this little community going.

⋆˙⟡♡ 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐞 — 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐂𝐨-𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧
Our newest addition to the admin crew! Cozy mysteries, low-stakes fantasy, plants, snakes, and a very specific Slytherin-with-Hufflepuff-energy kind of girl. We’re so excited to officially have her behind the scenes with us!

Three readers. Three personalities. Three very different TBRs. And one shared love for books, friendship and creating a space where women can come together and just be themselves.

We’re so excited for this next chapter of Boozy Bookwormz — and we can’t wait for everything we’re planning. More books. More meetups. More crafts. More drinks. More memories. And, of course, more bookish chaos.

Swipe through to get to know your admins a little better… and welcome Macie to the team! 💚

Here’s to the next chapter 🥂📚✨

• 🚨 CASE CLOSED. 🚨

July’s Summer Slammer has officially been solved. 🔎🍷

This month featured American Predator by Maureen Callahan and after an evening full of true crime discussions, theories, sipping tea and confessions, we’re happy to report the only thing guilty here was our reading habits.

No Boozy Bookwormz meeting would be complete without a little fun. Every suspect was booked for their biggest bookish offense—from abandoning their TBRs and dog-earing pages to judging books by their covers and believing “just one more chapter.”

Thank you to everyone who came out, laughed, debated and made another meeting unforgettable. We can’t wait to see what August brings.

Also, a huge shout out to @islatealounge for hosting us and being the best host! The drinks and food were to die for!

🚨 Drop your biggest bookish crime in the comments. We promise not to arrest you… maybe ❤️🍷

mini Book Report 🎀🗒️

Title: A Court of Silver Flames 🔥
Author: Sarah J. Maas

Star Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice Level:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

One quote to convince you to read: “The first time I saw that look on your face, you were still human. Still human, and I nearly went to my knees before you.”

Tropes: Enemies to lovers, forced proximity, found family/sisterhood, trauma and healing, fated mates

Summary/Why I love it: This book is a hit or miss with people. You either love it or you hate it. For me personally, i saw myself in Nesta. I related to her like i’ve never related to another character before. Having been through my own fair share of family trauma, i was mean before healing. I took things out on people and pushed them away. It wasn’t pretty. I’m thankful for those who stuck it out and stayed but understand those who needed to take a step back. Nesta’s mental health journey in this book tugged at my heart strings. It was inspiring and empowering and it made me feel seen. I sobbed so much reading it. Then you add in her found family with her two friends and her mate and wow, i just get her. I too had to find my chosen family and i’m thankful every single day for them. This book just holds a special place in my heart and it forever will.

₊˚⊹ sweater weather ݁𝜗𝜚. ݁₊

i would do the ‘cozy sweater’ tag but i’m more of an oversized hoodie girl lol so instead, i matched my books to my one cutesy cozy knit sweater 😂🧸

+ the sweater weather tag to go with the vibes ↓

cable knit: a chunky novel on your tbr
⟢ the priory of the orange tree by samantha shannon

cardigan: a comfort book you could read over and over
⟢ out on a limb by hannah bonam-young

cashmere: a sweet fluffy romance
⟢ better than the movies by lynn painter

pullover: a fast-paced book you couldn’t put down
⟢ all the sinners bleed by s.a. cosby

oversized: a book that completely swallowed you whole
⟢ the shadowhunters novels

sweater vest: a book that surprised you by being cooler than expected
⟢ idk, i don’t expect books i read to not be cool 😭

🐻 tagging some friends to partake in the sweater weather tag but no pressure!! <3
