We caught up with @patvalade & @cloudimass - the masterminds and pedal power behind @squamishgravel.cc to hear a bit more about the club, and what it takes to hit the road every Thursday for 10 months of the year, rain or shine 🚲🗻

Watching the development of the SGCC over the last couple of years, and seeing the effort that Pat and Alex have put into bringing people together to ride, opening up new routes and growing the Squamish gravel scene is inspiring to say the least.

Here’s an excerpt from our chat, with the full interview to be published on the Guides site, along with others soon ✌️

My a month Squamish trip is done. I wanted to know how far am I from sending the Cobra Crack. And also I wanted to think about my life, “How do I want to live?”.

I’m still not sure the reason why I love the crack climbing, but I just wanted to try the super classic one which is my second home town.

I could have a week to try it because of some reason, but I could know it’s not impossible for me.

I’ll bring back this feeling and then think about my life “What do I want”.

I’m grateful to my friends who spent the time with me and gave me the supports. I couldn’t survive without connection with you guys. Arigatou!
