POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We had 48 HOURS to make a film in Glasgow. Here’s what happened!
1. We assembled a fantastic team.
2. We discussed ideas, and asked 5 Actors to be on ‘stand-by’.
3. At the kick-off event, (where a record 80 teams had applied!) we drew our genres out of a hat and got: romantic comedy or silent film.
4. All teams were given the same line of dialogue (“It’s the taking part that counts”); a prop (a shoe); and a character (Jane McSween, a Comic Book Designer).
5. Our amazing Writer, @its_eimi, basically asked everyone to leave her alone for half an hour because she had nothing!
6. But then she knocked it out the park and wrote a bold, funny, Scottish story about desire in the menopause, and ever-changing family dynamics.
7. So we headed to our stunning location with our dream team and off we went! Our Editor, @ashonfilm, worked through the night and managed to submit it on time!
8. The countdown is now on to the big-screen premiere of our 7-minute film at the GFT: at 5.45pm on Thursday 29th October. Hope to see you there 🎬

Coming out of character or corpsing / laughing on set is simply not an option when you’re doing the 48 Hour Film Project. There is no time for any nonsense! You’re given a genre, a line of dialogue, a character and a prop at 7pm on the Friday, and you have to write, shoot and edit a short film by 7pm on the Sunday!
What a wild ride. You can see we took it all very seriously… 🤣 🎬

I had this weird fever dream mcveighp where I was watching this new show on Netflix, the theme tune was Parallel Lines written by @andyfromtravis and @michaelredmondcomedy was playing Father Wilson. @paulbeesonactor was playing someone very hairy.

I mean … it was just a dream, right?

Parallel Lines or Parallel Universe?

And you know what...

We've nearly finished it!

So much love to everyone we've met and worked with along the way. This film is ours.

He got a phone call from Paul McCartney ... sending a car to pick him up before the police could.

Part two of Prince Stash's story drops tomorrow. If you haven't listened to Part 1 yet ... you best pull yer ruddy finger out.

About a year ago I found these two after @paulbeesonactor was on @rose_condo_poet s podcast.

Two people (Paul and Lee, who have lived a bit, had their struggles, had their good times...who decided to get together and make a podcast about mental health. Without offering advice, without being experts, just being two people who have lived a bit. And they try different things, some they believe in, some they think are a bit, in their words - "woohoo".
I, like the idiot I am, started back at episode one and worked my way to current day.

But id just like to say, it is amazing and I find them entertaining, most of their guests amazing (but it is good to not live in an echo chamber), and they have kept me company on many a day of working alone.

Give them a listen, usual places. If you don't like it, blame someone else, if you do, I'll take the credit thank you very much

Hey, Jambos!

Have you been to see the double bill of plays at the 1874 bar yet?

@twohalvesprod have hit the goal again with this year’s #EdFringe shows!

“Moved” with @paulbeesonactor, followed by “Season in Bloom”, with @riamcleod telling the story of the @heartofmidlothianfc season last year!

Absolutely brilliant. All the emotions in one show. Kind of like the season, really…

Episode 43 - Season in Bloom

We are joined this week by Paul Beeson from Two Halves Productions to preview his upcoming Edinburgh Fringe show, A Play of Two Halves. Taking place in the 1874 Supporters Bar, this is 2 plays in one (Moved and Season in Bloom) which covers last season and looking ahead to the future. They’re about inner turmoil, hope and, of course, the fans. In the podcast we also talk about the disappointment of the Aberdeen game- and not just the result itself- then we get back to the positives as we look ahead to the Dundee Utd and possible Euro ties. Quiz and mental health chats included.

Out now. On all platforms.
