PETITION FOR A PUBLIC ENQUIRY INTO ANIMAL TESTING IN UK.

LINK IN BIO or comment ‘PETITION’ Below

Animals including Dogs, Cats, Monkeys & horses are still being tested on in UK. When these tests are applied to humans there is an above 90% failure rate.

And what makes this worse is that the government department handing out these licences is completely incompetent.

The ASRU (Animals in Science Regulation Unit) has NO independent oversight.

Places like MBR Acres where over 2,000 beagles are bred every year for testing, get an audit once per year (sometimes longer) and then the rest of the time they are left to effectively ‘police’ themselves. They have to ‘self report’ any incidents which solely relies on their honesty…

Let us remember that this organisation was shut down in Italy and three of their top staff were convicted of animal abuse. And last week evidence emerged from US that dogs had been injected with chemicals into their stomachs, that caused burns and left them thrashing around screaming for 5-10 mins before dying. A dog whose neck was stomped on for not complying. Puppies thrown around like Frisbees.
THIS is who our government are trusting.

Then they came to UK where our government gave them a licence with seemingly no questions asked.

Half of the 168 facilities never even get a basic audit.

MBR Acres have a licence to bleed dogs to death (literally). The audits for MBR Acres for 2023,2024,2025 show that the ASRU did not witness ANY procedures taking place. How is that possible that a private company has a licence to unalive dogs and drain blood but have nobody to check they are even capable of this?

This is utter madness and must end now.

Thank you @peter.j.egan for shining and light on this and Alliance of Cruelty Free Science for decades of work you have done on behalf of all animals in labs going through unimaginable suffering.

My Instagram is 90% nature, advocacy, & curiosities, 5% dating app, 5% family, friends & animals, and 100% furiously removing the photos that I look ugly in. It’s a very delicate balance. Here are some little sprinkles of joy from Portugal, the US, Aus & NZ.
