💌💌 Have you seen @ckbk latest newsletter?

🇫🇷 Fine food is a global joy, but France remains a delicious place to explore, and we are delighted to have two cookbooks newly added to ckbk that will help bring France to your kitchen.

🇫🇷 Marjorie Taylor and Kendall Smith Franchini are the expat American mother and daughter duo behind @theCooksAtelier, a French cooking school in Beaune, founded in Burgundy in 2008. "French at Heart" is newly added to our shelves.

🇫🇷 "Ma Cuisine des Saisons", which presents @Georges_blanc_officiel
’ recipes spanning haute cuisine to simple family fare, is one of several books we have from Great French Chefs translated by @Caroline_Conran

🫶 Born in Denver, and with an Iraqi father, cookbook lover and enthusiastic home cook @foodstoriesfromamanda Amanda Carroll remembers the Middle Eastern lemon and garlic sauce ‘toum’ was always on the table in her childhood. In her article Consuming Passions: Toum, she tells us about the origins of toum, and why this garlic-forward taste sensation remains at the heart of how she likes to cook and eat.

🫶 We also have a seasonal blackberry collection including recipes by @lavenderandlovage @prue_leith & @peta_leith

Pasta with Watercress and Walnut Pesto - Peta Leith 🍝

Italian cuisine ⛺️

This pesto has become a new obsession of mine; the watercress adds a welcome freshness, cutting through the richness of the nuts and oil with its bright and peppery flavour. 🍽️

Ingredients delivered by @sainsburys, @waitrose, @Tescofood & @ocadouk 🚚

🌽 In our latest issue, vegetarian food writer and pastry chef Peta Leith (@peta_leith) serves up corn tacos that are fresh, vibrant and zing with flavour.

Peta writes: ‘September is the perfect time to eat corn on the cob, which is a fantastic source of dietary fibre, folic acid and vitamins A, B3 and C. These wraps are packed with fresh flavours to complement the corn; hot chilli, creamy feta, zingy pickled onions and lots of fresh herbs.’ Yum! 😋

Find the full recipe in our September issue, out how! Grab your copy in major supermarkets or online (link in bio!) 🔗
