As the late Marsha Aizumi wrote:
“We need to listen to their thoughts and allow them to guide the discussion, believe in their leadership, then step back to give them space to feel the pride in what they are creating.”

We are partnering with @vietrainbowoc to host this pre-March hang out at the @terasaki.budokan to gather in QTAPI joy and be well fed before the parade.

Thank you to Senator Sasha Renee Perez for being a supporter of our nonprofit mission and for speaking at Monrovia’s first ever pride event, hosted by Underdog Bookstore. The Monrovia Pride Book Festival continues with a pet parade at 4:30, a drag store hour, and over 50 LGBTQ+ authors and vendors to browse from. We’ll be at Monrovia Library Park until 6pm.

I went incognito to the inaugural Monrovia Pride Book Festival to sign copies of That Which Feeds Us for the incredible team at @underdogbookstore. They will be hanging out at Library Park until 6:00 PM today, so go show them some love and visit the festival before they pack up! 💕🌈
