I was waiting for this post and the @pie_goddess delivered - she is an amazing artist / baker ! She says “ Alright team blue, let’s do this!! if you haven’t already, please make a plan to vote in what is likely the most consequential election of our lifetimes!

Whether you feel like you didn’t get quite enough pie on Thanksgiving, or you’re looking toward the next holiday gathering, we still have pie suggestions up our sleeve! Try the cherry amaretto pie from @pie_goddess, which pairs cherry with almond flavoring.

Seven years ago, I had the opportunity to speak with a parent of one of the children killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

It was an intense conversation where I expressed doubt about whether I was actually doing anything by going around the world hugging people.

Weeping out his assurances, he said that I was “doing something” and also asked for a promise.

“As long as it’s within you, Dave, please keep hugging.”

The urge to embrace is still there, so stay tuned for a trip announcement next week.

I don’t know what I can do in the grand scheme of things but if my actions help people believe in the positive possibilities of humanity, then I have done something.

God bless us all and hug those around you❤️

🥧 GIVEAWAY CLOSED! 🥧

Wait, Pi Day is about what? 🤔

So if I’m honest, math isn’t exactly my thing. 🥴 But desserts? Now you’re talkin! 🙌🏼
I originally met @pie_goddess at her popup at @junquedrawer in November 2020, and her mini pies were the highlight of our Thanksgiving table. Now I try to catch her at a popup whenever I get a chance, and I could watch her pie-making videos for hours! 😍
Owner, Kristin is a pie artist and owner of Pie Goddess, a home-based bakery known for its ornately decorated pies. These are no ordinary pies! Her pies have been featured in publications such as @feastmag and @kansascityhomesstyle , and she has partnered with brands such as @honda to create one-of-a-kind pie art. Her creations are so intricate that they’re almost too pretty to eat. Almost… 😏 Pie Goddess was named by @kcur893 food critics as one of the best places to get pie in Kansas City, and I wholeheartedly agree! Kristin also offers brownies, cookies and other high-quality baked goods. But today, we’re here for the pie! In celebration of #NationalPiDay we’re teaming up to giveaway a @pie_goddess Specialty Pie!

This recipe adds up to success:

1. Like this picture ❤️
2. Follow @crowninggloryblog
3. Follow @pie_goddess
4. Tag a friend in the Comments (More tags=More entries!)
5. BONUS: Share this in your Stories for 5 extra entries! (Remember to tag us. 😉)
Giveaway ends on Wednesday, March 16th at midnight, winner will be notified on Thursday, March 17th.

Good luck friends! 😘

Okay so @instagram blocked my reel even though I used approved music.
So here is a post.

Happy #honeygroveteapartytuesday hosted by @honeygrovebears Hope also invited us to participate in #nationalpieday challenge where we pick a song and replace the word with pie. I picked My Guy by Mary Wells, but like I said #instagram blocked my #reels so you have to imagine the song.

I would like to give a shout out to @pie_goddess who I met a few months back, go give her some love and check her out! She has a heart of gold and makes amazing pies!

Finally a couple things to celebrate, welcome home Fritz @redbear1948 who traveled across the pond to make it home! And happy birthday Ashleigh @toastys_treehouse ♥️

So much to celebrate so we whipped up this easy 3 ingredient pie. A pre made allergen friendly crust, a tub of cool whip and a splotch of peanut butter. Whip the peanut butter and cool whip spread it in the crust and freeze voila 🤣
