We love sharing with you our deepest digs, the music that colors our experience of life, gives us energy and excitement to share. It’s such a pleasure to be able to host nights like this. Thank you for coming, spread the word so that we’re able to get more people in and get warmer, next to each other, as the nights get cooler.

and just like that blip number 3 has come and gone, and we can safely say that this was our favourite one yet. with just a couple of weeks to put all the pieces together, it all came together so perfectly. once again it was so special to see new faces and old friends connecting with the music and with one another… we’re very motivated to keep creating these spaces for queensland into the future

thank you brother @wickedbass for blessing us with your sound, to @pond_fogger & @eeeeeeb.y for setting the tone so graciously and also @asasimard / @bonniedoon_bar for being our dream venue and so supportive of our vision for the parties

introducing our next guest for this sunday, the one and only @pond_fogger

caelun has been synonymous with anything deep and fun that has happened over the last few years in brisbane. through his party @___s___o___a___p___ he was involved in bringing a broad range of forward thinking acts such as spekki webu, k-lone & facta as well as dr banana, hosting these events in often unusual and exciting locations with a emphasis on production value and…. fun.

through his @_____tilt sunday night residency at @theblackbearlodge, caelun made several inroads for specifically minimal and deep dance music in the city, and we’re excited to keep that energy flowing into the future with what we’re planning with blip.

anyone who knows the man will know his knowledge and passion runs deep, often in ways that only a son who had a dj for a mum could. caelun’s enthusiastic approach to djing and dedication to moving otherwise stagnant floors has got us ourselves moving many times, and we look forward to more this coming sunday….

…. surprise! we are back in 2 weeks. for our 3rd party, we’ve got a very special guest joining us… @wickedbass

when blip was nothing more than a few fragmented ideas and noise in our heads, we wrote down the artists we would love to most bring to brisbane. the first name on that list was very quickly the idiosyncratic ukrainian, noizar.

if you know who he is, you’ll know why we’re so excited. but if you’ve never heard of him… listen up.

noizar formed his sound in the melting pot of stripped back and chaotic musical ideas that is closer, in kiev. as one of the main alumni to push this characteristically ukrainian sound further outside the country, noizar quickly found his audience.

somewhat ironically, categorising noizar as a ‘minimal’ dj would be a reductionist way of explaining his sound. that said, he has been fighting the fight on behalf of mid 2000s bargain bin freakshow minimal long before it was even a fight, trojan-horsing these otherwise unacceptable records onto stages and dancefloors renowned for their tastefulness and obscurity, soundtracking sleepless nights and mornings that should have ended long ago but never did… all around the world.

whilst his sound has caterpillared into more psychadelic realms in recent years, the minimal learnings haven’t been forsaken.

every record of his that reaches the turntable performs at its optimum. less elements, working harder, finding clarity with one another. if horny malfunctioning robots danced throughout the night, this is what it sounds like. put simply, music trends can be circular, but they sure did take a while to catch up with him.

noizar makes us feel how we always wanted to feel on dancefloors. it’s uncompromising, schizophrenic, energetic and sleek. still not convinced? then it’s the ultimate trust me bro… you don’t want to be missing when noizar is weaving his sexy dark magic over brisneyland. easter sunday chocolate from your aunties will taste sweet, but nothing sounds sweeter than noizar at the doon.

I took my sketchbook out with me last night and did these drawings on the dance floor at 2 am ✍🏻 It was really dark, I literally couldn’t see what I was doing or what colours I was using, but I think they came out soooo well!!!
