Build Your Own Fuzz Pedal - Tarab Instruments
Facilitated by Syed Ali

This hands-on workshop guides you through building a classic silicon transistor–based fuzz pedal from scratch. Using a pre-fabricated PCB, you’ll solder components, wire potentiometers and audio jacks, and install BC108 transistors to assemble a fully functional fuzz effect pedal for electric guitar.

Along the way, you’ll be introduced to the basics of analog audio electronics, signal flow, and how simple transistor circuits create distortion. The session allows plenty of time for experimentation, listening, and troubleshooting.

No prior experience in electronics or pedal building is required.

Workshop Structure:
~1 hour: Theory introduction & soldering safety
~1 hour: Soldering components (18 parts)
~1–1.5 hours: Troubleshooting & sound checking
Total duration: ~3.5 hours per session

📅 Date: 14th January 2026

⏰ Time:
BATCH 1: 10 AM - 2 PM &
BATCH 2: 3 PM - 6 PM
📍 Venue: Bastian Bungalow, Fort Kochi

Note:
Participants limit: Maximum 4 participants per session & up to 2 sessions per day.
Register now to reserve your spot!

Who can apply:

Flowframes Video Interpolator for video smoothening

Flowframes generates intermediate frames to increase the FPS and therefore make the video look "smoother". This video is a not a very good representation of its capabilities but I've had this 600 frame long image sequence for about a year and this was an excuse for me to finally finish making it. Images rendered with wildfire for java. Upscaled from 20FPS to 60FPS.

I think it looks neat, even with instagram's compression. I also learnt that colour calibration is a pain in the ass.

Tune in for an hour at 18:00 for a fresh episode of @krunklive presents featuring @madebyio on boxout.fm. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Lapalux, Max Cooper and Forest Swords, Ali's tracks swing from bass-heavy percussion breaks to lush harmonic ambient pieces. In an already idiosyncratic space, his music continues to defy categorization. #boxoutfm #onair #onlineradio

TBR013 - Hedrun’s Dear Craving/Chirp Remixes!

Thanks to @_cashmusic , @madebyio and @ankitchugh.online for these exciting remixes of @palashkotharii’s tracks. @the.girl.from.the.sun made this incredible artwork for us!

Considering the current global situation - we at TAABIIR along with Cash, Hedrun, Derain & IO have decided to direct 50% of the earnings from the release towards Mukti - an NGO that has been doing fantastic work for the people affected by Cyclone Amphan and COVID-19. We will also be donating the remaining 50% of the earnings to Black Lives Matter Global Network to help them in the fight against racism.
