No, I am not fully healed. No, I can’t throw full power, but I think I have enough in me to try. My expectations are tempered but I just love this course and event so much that I have to give it a go! I tee at 8:40am and I’ll probably start warming up now 😂

I know this is long, but here’s the first half of my update on the tricep

I plan to make my decision on the event by tomorrow night.

Made the cut at worlds and cashed with a torn tricep. That’s gotta be something right?
.
While practicing for worlds the pain in my tricep hit a new high, I strained it back at Ledgestone during my final practice round at Northwood black and It’s been moderately irritating at best since then. Only causing an issue during power forehands so I haven’t been worried about it but this week I started to get sharp pain everytime I threw and putt and I couldn’t open my van door or pull and move things in the van. I almost dropped the event Wednesday morning before teeing off
.
I’m not exactly sure if I’m happy I pushed through or not, but I can say that I’m proud I made the cut, finished the event, and even had an event average above my rating even without access to my forehand (other than 3 pitch outs that were painfully unavoidable)
.
I can’t thank my mom enough for caddying and being there for me this week. And to the support from friends and cardmates as they found out what was happening..
.
All that being said I’ve made the decision to drop Idlewild and go home to try and rehab my arm before playoffs in Vermont. Thanks to everyone for the support and all the people who followed FPO this week or said hello after the rounds, it really makes these events special
.

Once a year I get to see certain people at US Women’s and it’s always a pleasure
.
Getting to have my moms compete, chair lift to the start of my course, water color painting, great weather (for practice) and not so great weather (for competition), ice cream socials, meeting teammates, supporting juniors and age protected fields, a friendly neighborhood Raven, beautiful evening skies, a bull moose sighting, impromptu lightening delay whatnot in a yurt on a mountain, puppies, and a final day aquarium trip

Happy to be home for a few days before heading to Peoria

Couples that shred together stay together. I ended up shooting -10 and Alex shot -23 😅 he may have shredded more than me but I felt pretty good
