POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This was definitely meant to have been posted in January at the time of the Work In Progress Show - but what a better time to post this than just before the final End of Year Show, as a teaser of what you can expect and more!

Finishing off what’s been a marathon of a degree(s), to wrap it all up, this year spent with @rca_ads7 , I’ve developed a thesis around attempting to Spatialise the sonic evolution of Bhangra,
across various sites, from the Black Country to Birmingham, Smethwick to Southall… it’s been a labour of love and I can safely say my mission of learning how to weld has been achieved 🫡

Come catch the show opening tomorrow until the weekend at the Kensington Campus - @rca.architecture

@iicbangkok was pleased to support @_lemonot and the project developed by students from the Royal College of Art at @bangkok_kunsthalle.

In February 2026, the students travelled to Thailand for the ADS7 Live Project 2025/26, exploring the relationship between Bangkok Kunsthalle and Khao Yai Art Forest, and the journey connecting these two spaces.

Through this process, they experimented with different approaches to site-specificity, reflecting on the connections between art, architecture, and the natural environment.

As part of the project, the students created a soundtrack composed of recordings captured in the @khaoyai_art_forest, which will soon become a sound installation at the Bangkok Kunsthalle.

Lemonot, the Italian-London-based duo founded by Sabrina Morreale and Lorenzo Perri, works across architecture and performative arts, blending spatial and relational practices. Through pavilions, exhibitions, public stage-sets, inhabitable costumes and films, their work explores how space can become a framework for everyday life to unfold.

These architecture projects challenge how we see the world. Meet the architects and designers of the future as their newest work comes together at the MA Architecture Work in Progress Show 2026 in the Studio Building at RCA Battersea from 22 to 24 January...

...and take a peek behind the doors of the world's no 1 university for art and design!

The research and experiments from our students will reveal a profound engagement with the urgent ecological and material realities of our time.

You’ll find projects exploring the deep ocean (ADS13), the nature of the 'wild' (ADS9), and how we deal with pollution in our water and soil (ADS11). Students are looking at how we coexist with animals in industrial ruins (ADS3), how we survive in damaged worlds (ADS2) – and even how we face the end of things (ADS4).

This work also reimagines how we live and build. You’ll see ideas for new types of housing (ADS1) and better ways to use materials (ADS6). Some students mix architecture with performance (ADS0) or sport (ADS8), while others explore the unexpected through 'follies' (ADS5) or the concept of the journey (ADS7). From the economics of sharing (ADS10) to the sensory atmosphere of our homes (ADS12).
