The @rutherfordlibraryfriends hosted their first annual Fall Craft Night this past week and it was an absolute blast. This year’s theme was “Frost Your Way Into Fall” and in collaboration with @sweetschefjen the first craft was cookie decorating!
•
The night was designed to bring folks together in a welcoming environment, much like your favorite cozy fall sweater, with seasonal decorations, hearty snacks, and the option to BYOB.
•
During the 2 hour session, guests were shown a handful of different beginner friendly techniques, in fall’s favorite color scheme, used to decorate 5 cookie shapes 🎃🍁🍂
•
The energy in the room was truly magical; filled with laughter, making new friends and learning a new skill! We hope the folks who joined us had as much fun as we did hosting and look forward to trying something new, next year!

Special thanks to @traderjoes Clifton for donating beverages and a gift basket, @costco for the gift cards used to purchase supplies for the snack cups, and @_iknowjen from @theagencyrutherford for the cash donation that went to baking supplies ie:butter, sugar, flour!
Funds raised go to supporting programs at the @rutherfordlibrary like; the summer reading program, the new mural in the children’s area, movie licenses, and museum passes.

In order to pull off a fabulous event, it takes months of planning; plotting out decorations, securing food donations, and of course advertising so people know about the event and really pack the house!
•
This year the @rutherfordlibraryfriends got to set up a window display in one of our local downtown businesses for the month of February to advertise for our March 6-7th mini golf event at the @rutherfordlibrary
•
Myself and our fantastic President @readingwithrosemary were tasked with building out the window display which included a banner I painted (created on @canva ) and a live link to be able to purchase tickets to the event right from the window!!! If you stop by the window, let us know what you think of it!
•
Big thank you to @the__mario for letting me borrow so many golf supplies ⛳️

This is the year of shopping small, supporting local and gifting experiences! During times of challenge it’s so important to lean on your community, whether that be your friends/family or the place you call home so this weekend that’s exactly what I did.
•
My girlfriend @rosemaryrr and I grabbed coffee and a bite from @sweetkitchennj before checking out @crystalsandcandlemontclair where we picked healing crystals (not sure if there’s enough to help what’s coming in 2025) to add to candles that we poured.
•
The experience was fun, discovered a super cute toy store across the street (@cornerstonegeneralstore ) where a scooped up a bday gift for K, and got to catch up with one of my favorite people!
•
North Jersey folks, if you are looking for a date idea, friends meet up or just something new to try, definitely check out a candle making class at Crystal and Candle

I can’t even describe how much I love this woman and today is her birthday. Tita Rosalie is just a wonderful woman with so much love to give always. Some of us love to write cards, but these days we don’t receive many and so I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt that my mailbox always has a card on every occasion from our beautiful aunt. (Just like my Mom…And it’s always has…a little something for coffee…lol) She never forgets a birthday or a holiday. Tita Rosalie is a strong, resilient and courageous human who inspires me and motivates me. Even though we don’t share DNA, I feel very connected to her. happy birthday, and I wish you the best of everything. Don, Emily and I love you so much. God bless you!!♥️😘♥️😘💪🎊✨🎁🎂
